I love this President. But this speech was awful. No heart.

I did not get that feeling at all. He said what needed to be said at this time.

If you have a recording available, listen again. It wasn't a speech per se, but a progress report. This is not a time for speeches. Speeches will no doubt come later.

this was exactly the right tone.

all business.

we've yet to see the real horror of this.

Wait until we see what the death toll really pans out to before starting to get mushy about this. We need to get the S&R ops done, and levees repaired before we take the time to comfort people. Rescue workers aren't even able to take the time to care of dead bodies they run across now. Neither does the president.

What do you mean "No heart"? Because he didn't bite his lip and say he felt our pain? THIS President is not into oratorical flourishes.....His "heart" is in the positive ACTIONS he is taking to help these Americans.
