I think he needs to get a grip. Or look at photos of the devastation. Or actually listen to eyewitness newsies.
I understand Hugh's objection. He wanted a report from a valid news source (ABC, FOX, AP, etc) rather than one from someone saying that he heard it from a friend. I just think Hugh overreacted big time.
Hugh just started this hour of his show by referring to the "knuckleheads over at Free Republic." Hugh, we're trying to get to the bottom of this. We really are. :)
