By sunset tomorrow, IMHO, if possible, the President should tour the area (New Orleans, Biloxi, Gulfport, etc) by air at least if possible, a quick flyover and around, then land upstate somewhere state and offer comments and support.

I remember the President went to NYC only 2-3 days after the attacks. I think this is what is needed now. I am sure the White House is thinking about it, but do not want to pressure the system there as it is due to aerial safety concerns (they'd have to declare it no-fly during the President's air tour).

This is not only the right thing to do and we would have him do it for those reasons alone, you can be sure the libs and socialists' lips will drip with sarcasm in about 24 hours if he DOESN'T do it.

If Bush comes near the area in any capacity too soon, it will hamper rescue and other recovery efforts. Security and protection of the president consumes huge resources.

If Bush turns up in New Orleans the liberal Commies will be crying their eyes out that Bush is wasting critical supplies.
