I reported up thread that a friend of mine is going to Biloxi in the morning with supplies for her in-laws. A couple of gentlemen have since volunteered to go with her, for protection purposes. One of these gents called a subcontractor to schedule work for the time he'll be gone. The contractor has put off the work as he also has a truck and travel trailer and he's stopping at our local Wal-Mart (they are loading supplies there) and following them to Biloxi.
Americans are fine folks!

Oh yeah, and my gun. I completely understand. DHS called for volunteers to deploy this morning, and I'm unable to go in the first wave because I'm scheduled for a prepaid Alaskan cruise with my family leaving next week. There should be a second call for volunteers after I return, and if there is, I'm going.
I don't think they'll let me bring my gun, though.
