Did you hear the CNN reporter lady who had tears in her throat as she was telling of how they couldn't get to people after dark, they could hear people yelling for help, the rescuers couldn't get to anyone, no one could do anything because of the debris in the water, cars beneath the surface, power and gas lines etc.
She said people didn't realie how bad this was and everyone was going to be shocked tomorrow (today)
Jeanne Mezeene I think was her name.
It had me in tears. She was genuinly upset and very shaken.
I am wondering how they are going to evacuate all the people in the dome. It's a huge number of people.
I hope they can get to everyone trapped in their homes. I hope people don't start going hungry or thirsty. Time is of the essence.
Jean Meserve
That was Jeannie Mezerve (sp?)
My guess is that her reporting will never be the same.
This is bad, very bad, but can one imagine the loss of life if this had happened 60 years ago, before satellites and modern forcasting. There wouldn't be any looters--only corpses---at least most of the people are alive. Now may the Lord grant us strength to tackle our problems with fortitude and love.
