Just saying at lest four levees breeched. Water is rising fast. Prayers for all there

Water is rising 11 inches an hour. Trying to save those on their roofs. Those stuck in their attics - I fear the worst for them.

There are many factors that work against levees.

- Hydraulic action of flowing water pulling material away.
- Water coming up from underground on the dry side due to extreme pressure.
- Weakening due to saturation.
- Erosion from breeches.

Unfortunately, when any of these start, the levees completely fail very quickly.

This is not the end by any stretch. I fear what we are seeing is the end of the beginning.

Four levies? I thought only one, what does these mean, is the lake draining into N.O? Can N.O. survive that?
