"Move America Forward"; then Back Ten Steps -
What was accomplished?...

Now that the nation has experienced the "Battle of the Moms" in Crawford, Texas, what have the organizers of Move America Forward (California Congressional hopeful Howard Kaloogian) accomplished with this high priced media caravan?
What did they accomplish, other than boosting Cindy Sheehan's media attention when her saga was growing old and cold. The folks at Move'on and "Sheehan Tent and Awning" should send Move America Forward a donation check...nothing better than 'un-efforted' attention from the press. Just get the name spelled right.
Has MAF produced a desired result for the military, for the citizens of this country, or have the founders of MAF created another attention grabbing 'stunt' for their web site and future political campaigns?
What argument has MAF funded with this latest stunt?
What ideological core value has MAF offered America? That a majority of Americans are for the war against terrorism, and a little under half of the citizens are not? Didn't we know this already?
Over the weekend, I heard numerous anchors recite the same tag line after returning from a 'live report' from Crawford, Texas. The studio anchor, or 'anchorette', would simple say, "Emotions are running high on both sides". And they are right.
This latest stunt has done nothing but create emotions...[more]

The problem is, if there is no 'counter protest,' Americans and the world begin to think that the likes of Cindy is the majority opinion. We don't want that. (The media is working hard to make it appear that way already.) I think they keep that misconception from occurring.
We did indeed have to take this to Sheehan! The MSM has put her on a pedestal to the point even our enemies have taken notice. Al Jazzeer has put her front and center in order to convince their followers this is how "most" Americans feel. This cannot go unchallenged, and cannot be ignored. By doing so it not only damages the moral of our troops but also the American public. The MSM totally ignores every good news story that originates in the Middle East. They do not want the American People to know of the fabulous things our Military is accomplishing by bringing freedom to people that up until last year had no idea what the word meant. During WWII there were newsreels weekly keeping the public updated on our accomplishments. Where are they now. If you listen strictly to the MSM, nothing happens except for our troops and innocent civilians being slaughtered. We hardly ever hear of the enemy being taken to task. The MSM is betraying the American People, they need to have it rubbed in their noses and broadcast by any means we can find!
If we want to get our message in the news we will have to continue to force it into the lenses and microphones of the MSM. The only way to accomplish this is to seek out where they are. We certainly cannot rely on them to come to us. I think that is patently obvious. The fact they did their best to downplay the numbers in Crawford should wake everyone up. We need to dog this _itch everywhere she goes with greater and greater numbers until she looses the spotlight. If you notice, today's news has very little Sheehan grandstanding because they would also have to comment on the protest against her. Perhaps we have taken a major step on silencing her leftist rhetoric. Time will tell.

I tend to agree with the author of this piece, because the best way to undermine an hysteric is to totally ignore her. Gee...if only the media shared your view.
But they don't...and they have done everything short of portraying that moonbat as the Second Coming to the public at large.
Maybe you think that sort of nonsense should go unchallenged. Personally, I will never subscribe to that mindset. It is precisely that sort of mindset that keeps people under the yoke of tyranny.

The LIEbs hate it when they are not the only side allowed FREEDOM Of Speech! No kidding. That just shows their true tyrannical nature. They want rights only for themselves...and they will demonize anyone and anything that stands in their way.
Kinda makes you wonder what they've been smoking...

Mr. Hogue, if you have to ask what MAF accomplished with the counter-protest, you'll never get it. 'Nuff said!

"but I'm just trying to stick up for Eric, who I know fairly well, and who is about the nicest talk show host you could find."
Excellent! Then perhaps you will be kind enough to 'personally' direct his attention to the link found in this post above.
Additionally, please point this out to him:
These parents were able to reach their Marine son in Iraq on the telephone while the rally was going on!
All of us at the rally got the chance to cheer for at least ONE soldier in Iraq personally!
This Marine heard thousands of American voices say we support you and that, in and of itself, makes the entire endeavor worthwhile IMHO!

The author has it all wrong. Cindy is going to get coverage no matter what. As the turnout showed there is more support for the troops than against.

More than in any other state.
If that were the case, you would have been a "red" state instead of Kerry "blue"! Now if you stated there were more liberals than any other state, it could not be disputed.
I have no doubts there are a great number of conservatives in California, but hardly enough to make a dent in the liberal left wing populace in the same geographic space. When was the last time CA went Pubbie in a presidential election? Reagan?
I believe Texas has the greatest conservative populace concentrated in a single state.
Now if you want to bring percentages into account, I'll put my state of Idaho right up there in the top 3.

I sure hate to put Eric down, but I think that this is sour grapes. Eric tries to be Mark Williams competition, but what can you do from a 5kw station when your're in the same town as a 75kw flame thrower like KFBK?
Eric has done all he can, but he needs to get used to his limitations.

And this is what some puke leftie has to say about this man standing up for our troops:
How ironic. He's on oxygen but still driving a truck that's allowed to pollute way more than a regular car (which is still too much). He's basically choking himself, no?
Shows the compassion of the left, don't it. POS! Just once I'd like one of these guys to show this kind of disrespect for their elders in my presence!
