God Bless, stay safe!
We're praying for you New Orleans.
I wondered about that all day too. What I THINK is that it becomes a bottleneck..with a gazillion folks trying to leave- and a limited number of roads to get out...
Me too. And I think HE's come to realize he's made a stupid decision to stay there also....
Her name was Jackie. She said it all, you gave a great recap of her words.
Wonderful lady.
will you have internet access at your brother's again?
forget about all that...lol the most important question is...have they closed the casinos...lol I mean we need to keep things in perspective :)
I've been looking for you...this is the first post of yours I've seen all day. Hope & pray that you & yours are OK.

"OIL has many end users...not just people who drive cars."
Absolutely. Have you seen the price of plastic garbage bags lately?
Mary Landrieu dodges Mastthews' question about whether the Superdome can handle what's expected to hit it.
When I post numbers, they're just numbers. We expect the storm to turn north, so knowing that it is pointed at a certain point now allows us to judge course change over the period between now and landfall.
If you look at the windfields over at Boat, this thing could miss by a hundred miles and still shove a surge into Lake P. New orleans is going to get smacked. At this point the question is how hard.
>>>"Heard on CNN that NINE refineries would be in the eye of the storm, along with the port facilities that bring in 1/6th of our imported oil (the Venezuelan crude comes in at NO), so it won't be just the oil platforms that will be affected. If this doesn't qualify as an "oil emergency" that merits the President opening our 1.5 BILLION barrels of stored oil in the SOR, I don't know what is. This could put the economy into recession"<<<
OK BOOM, all the freaking oil in the SOR is available to YOU!
Now tell us where you are going to refine it!
I don't think the Morning Headlines are going to be reading "Dip into the SOR" anytime soon.
Pray for New Orleans First then the folks that are going to get next upstream of this Storm. We can deal with the little crap later.

Those Lafayette ladies will not only have eggs for them, they will have gumbo all ready at lunch. If you have to evacuate, Lafayette is as good place to go
Sure did...right on schedule. Thanks.
filled up also @ 2.47. a couple there said they heard on msnbc that gas will be to $5 because of this Katrina. don't know how true that is. the woman working at 7-11 tried to up the prices while we were there, but there had to have been 6 cars in line at the time, so she went back inside the store.
Freepmail to you . . .
:-)
Kinda slow on the uptake over at PMS NBC, aren't they?
The other thing I am hoping is that they get these people in the dang door. I understand the desire for security.... but they quite literally do not have all night.
