College is 20% education and 80% indoctrination.
Yep, it's the old 80/20 rule again.

Why Latina? Why not Asian? Is it because many Latinas (Puerto Ricans and Dominicans) are mixed race?
-------------------------------
It's about sales in the foreign markets. The investors want to see potential ROI numbers that are based in reality. Usually 'foreign' means 40-55% of revenues for a film. In the foreign sales world BM/BF is death unless you've got Denzel who will not romance a white woman on screen. Foreign will go for BM/WF but the US market won't (contrary to certain "statistics" touted on this thread). That leaves BM/Latina combos.
As for WM/BF that is so verbotten in the USA that Mendez, Cruz, Lopez, etc get all the work they want as the not-black/not-white love interest to WMs.

Hmmm ~ mixing up heritages ~ after extensive research into the family genealogy, and after researching a tremendous amount of history, I pretty well figured out that the only group NOT in the tree were any English people. All the others made it, even Jews, Arabs, Bantus, North Africans, Scotsmen, Irishmen, Cornishmen, Manxmen, Galicians, Galatians, Greeks, Italians, Sicilians, Spaniards, Frenchmen, Germans (of every state too), Swiss (of all 4 linguistic groups), Polls, Czechs, Russians, Ukrainians, Estonians, Lithuanians, Latvians, Swedes, Finns, Norwegians, Smolt Sa'ami, half a dozen American Indian groups, Kurds, Persians, and possibly even a Japanese samurai right after the War of 1812.
I pity those who have less than half a dozen heritages to reflect on. What terribly empty lives they must lead.

You must have missed the part where I drew a hard line in the ice with the "white" Sa'ami on one side, and the Afro-Asians on the other.
That was based on a set of truly profound physiological differences between them and other groups.
Your lil' buddy Eur-am couldn't believe he could be written out of "whiteness" so readily!

Hey sparky, you can shout all you want but it won't get you anywhere, except maybe with your little girls, you know the ones who watch MTV in your house. (what kind of parent allows that?) And you think I'm concerned about having your respect? Don't think so.
You jumped on here praising the "truth" in a post so bigoted and ugly that it got pulled. People object to your support for the bigotry and how do you respond...you shout or play the widdle victim...
To quote you: "because I'm here alone, laying out a grievance, I'm the shame full one."
Poor baby. I feel for you, really. Must be hard to go through life seeing all kinds of insults to your manhood from television commercials.
Shout all you like sparky, like a couple of others here I'm not listening anymore.

True, and the real irony is that most of those dissing the dark skinned girls are dark skinned THEMSELVES!
To: wtc911
I can understand why wtc911. I caught you in your on lie. The thread that got pulled, I was not on. I have not been on a thread that got pulled. Now if you're referring to a post that got pulled, I can understand why with as much flak admin got about it from your likes.
To proof to my whole argument is in the pudding wtc911. My original question was why the need for interracial programing/advertising. You answered it quite eloquently to Clemenza...it matters not the truth, it matters for ratings. You're unbelievable. You people beat on the left for doing it with the news, and here you are doing it with facts of history. Shame on you and I hope all here see this for what it became.
Am I proud of the way I conducted myself at times on this thread?...no. What I am proud of is I got my message out loud and clear with your's, and some others help. Stop fabricating truth for your own or society's "benefit". Tell the truth for society's benefit. You'll be respected for doing so.
Calling me names and putting me down was the easy part. wiping the egg off your face make take a few more tissues...
