My son goes to Tulane University in New Orleans. Hopefully he got out as I have not been able to contact him. He has weathered these before but nothing like this one.
On Fox or CNN last night, they said for all concerned about Tulane students, go to Tulane's web site. They've moved the students to another university. Can't remember which one, but you'll probably see it on their site.
one of my friends from tulane showed up here in Pensacola yesterday. They kicked her off campus so your son shouldn't be there.
Prayers up. I was thinking of all the Tulane and other college kids who're probably just starting to arrive for the school year. I hope you get in touch w/your son soon.
Scott Cowan sent out a notice yesterday that the campus is closed thru 9/1 and for studens/staff, etc. to "follow your own evacuation plan." THey tell incoming students/families to have an evacuation plan before getting to the campus, but who really does it ?
