The government has no business making an evacuation "mandatory". If you choose to stay, you takes your chances.

Yeah, well it should be mentioned, "If you choose to stay, take your chances, and NO EMERGENCY PERSONNEL will endanger their lives to try to save you once the thing has started."

People do have the right to stay, if they want, but then they expect emergency services when the trouble starts.

Well, although I would agree in a perfect world, it might not be necessay, but since the injured would demand medical services, and the dead would have to be buried (most likely at public expense) it quickly becomes a PUBLIC issue.

Its fine to say people should be allowed to make their own decision, but that presumes people are smart enough to do so, and resolute enough to live by their decision and not bring suit the minute a fireman or ambulance doesn't show up.

Those who feel like you are free to baricade themselves in their home. The Police will not expend any resources extracting them.

Your right the government doesn't have the right to tell you to leave. But I would suggest you be made to take swimming lessions and or provide your own body bag.

Still hold this Silly Opinion?

Watch the fox coverage closely, you see lots of bodies floating, looters, people on roofs waiting to be rescued.

Stay and take your chances? Doesn't affect anyone else does it?

Hope you got your education.
