No fan of yellow ribbons here. The message in them is not victory, not even survival. It is cut-and-run.

Woo hoo!

Only thing, CNN will complain because the children disrespected the flag with their writings. Oh, and keep an eye out for plants pulling something to get you bad media coverage. The msm is chopping at their bits to get any dirt.

I hope that includes the "One Tyrant at a Time" MOAB that was put to such outstanding use last night at Walter Reed!

Go, go, GO, Freepers! We'd be there again, but am afraid we wouldn't be able to control ourselves in the Freeper spirit of courtesy and patriotism and support for the President and our fine volunteer troops. We're profoundly grateful to report that nephew, Mark, member of India Company of the U.S.M.C., has returned home from his THIRD tour in Iraq. He credits prayer from many here at home for his safe, successful tours. His advice to son, James, going with the Army in Nov.? Follow the book!
Rock on, Freepers! We're with you! God bless America! God bless our fighting men and women, true patriots! And God bless W, the President of the United States of America!

It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.

Do what we did at Donna Anna range at FT Bliss. Find a spot with the best reception and put a mark on the ground. That was the only way we could talk to the people back in Austin. There are some areas that the signal seems to be very strong, just feet away from zero signal strength.

I'd be there today, but I am on standby. I have to "babysit" my telephone, in case any National Guard units call for help.

A short blurb from "The Lonestar Iconoclast"

Thousands: Crawford or Bust

'You Don't Speak For Me, Cindy'
Rally Coming To Crawford Saturday

By Deborah Mathews
ICONOCLAST REPORTER

CRAWFORD—Move America Forward is heading the movement themed “You Don’t Speak For Me Cindy” which has involved a trip from California to Crawford. The organization has been involved in organizing a rally to be held in Crawford at Pirate Field on Saturday, Aug. 27.

Members of the Free Republic are also helping to coordinate the “You Don’t Speak For Me Cindy” campaign. A caravan of supporters will leave the Wal-Mart parking lot in Waco at 12:30 p.m. and head toward Pirate Field in Crawford, where they will participate in the rally.

Parents and family members who have lost loved ones in Iraq will be present, along with anchorwoman Deborah Johns. Speakers will take the stage to talk about why Cindy Sheehan doesn’t speak for them. Free Republic spokesman and rally stage manager Kristinn Taylor said, “We are expecting several thousand supporters at the rally. Plans now are to hold the rally beginning about 1 p.m. and conclude it in mid-afternoon.”

Following the rally, supporters can visit Camp George — in the field just short of Camp Casey I; or Camp Reality — directly across from Camp Casey I; or Fort Qualls—a camp set up behind the Yellow Rose in downtown Crawford. Owner of the Yellow Rose, Bill Johnson, allowed Gary Qualls, the father of Lewis Qualls who was killed in Iraq, to establish the camp.

Fort Qualls will have a formal dedication ceremony at 11 a.m. on Saturday. This site has been used as a central point where those who wish to have names of loved ones removed from the crosses at Camp Casey to go here to submit that request. Taylor said that a request has been extended to Cindy Sheehan to debate Gary Qualls, but a response is yet forthcoming.

Taylor said, “We’re a peaceful group. We’re here to support our troops, our President, and Operation Iraqi Freedom and to say, ‘You don’t speak for me Cindy.’”

I am praying for them all. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I am not going to be able to go, and I had truly hoped to be there. I am hoping my husband will make it there in time... he's driving in to try and get there, but he's coming from Dallas and he just left around noon, so we'll see.

My daughter in the Air Force (FL) called me last night and told me how much Cindy Sheehan has hurt morale for all troops; she asked me to go and represent her, so I'm sending my husband instead of me.

I'm really praying he gets there in time...

Thanks for taking point for the battle on the home front. In a very real way, you people are heroes, too. Your efforts could well be the reason that the battle to weaken US resolve eventually fails.

Those brave service members, living and dead, who've sacrificed more to ensure the freedom of others than liberals would sacrifice to protect their own, will always remember what you'll say there, and what you'll do there.

My prayer is that you'll help to ensure that the over 1800 American heroes who've lost their lives in Iraq will not have sacrificed all for a cause that we run away from. God bless you.

I am there in spirit. I considered joining you, but air fares from Massachusetts were very costly.

My daughter left today for Iraq. She is a Medic with the 2/28th Infantry Brigade. She will be stationed in Ramadi.

Yesterday, she flew for the first time wearing the uniform. She was overwhelmed at the warmth and gratitude that came her way from strangers who went out of their way to thank her for her service.

America the Beautiful!! Eagles Up!!
