I am there in spirit. I considered joining you, but air fares from Massachusetts were very costly.
My daughter left today for Iraq. She is a Medic with the 2/28th Infantry Brigade. She will be stationed in Ramadi.
Yesterday, she flew for the first time wearing the uniform. She was overwhelmed at the warmth and gratitude that came her way from strangers who went out of their way to thank her for her service.

We'll be keeping your daughter in our prayers, Jen's Mom. Please tell her that we honor and support her, every step of the way. From one military mom to another, I know the walk you're now taking. God love ya! chena

My son returned in March. He got a standing ovation at our local airport (and bumped to first class on one leg!) People ARE very appreciative of our soldiers even if the media doesnot think so.
Prayers & thanks for you and Jen.

Congratulations to you and your family, and give a big hug to your daughter! My daughter is returning to Iraq today after a 14 day leave. It was amazing how many people shook her hand at the airport. Warm fuzzies....
