Breaking news: Bubba Klintoon, T. Kennedy and C. Dodd, (AKA the sandwich makers) are their role models.

Well for those who are interested in this story, I'm sure they'll be tuning in to Greta tonight. I don't think there is any question she's done by far the most professional job of covering the situation in Aruba.

Because it is so safe and secure for women here in the US. We are so lucky.

Usually this case has about 6 seconds of new news a day. At least today it will get bumped up to a respectable two minutes of news.

I wonder about that.

Apparently no physical evidence. No corroboration of the various "confessions". Would anyone be in jail at all if this had happened in the US.

Does anybody even watch Greta?

Not on my life. The interesting thing is that her ratings have allegedly skyrocketed since it became the "All Natalee All the Time" program. That's not a healthy endorsement of our society. Granted that it is a sad and compelling story, but to devote so much coverage to something in which there are no new significant developments is nonsensical. But that's just me...

She's not the only one.
From my hometown newspaper, the Anderson (Indiana) Herald-Bulletin: Lemon Drop owner Bill Pitts takes strong position against island nation after disappearance.

Her plastic surgery & lips that can't move now are downright spooky.

Thank goodness for Tivo. I can watch H&C in 30 minutes or less by skipping over all the 'missing person reporting'.

How much can one say about her anyway, before it begins to get: repetitive and old?

The story is tragic and sad, but it happens.

OTOH, we have a VIDEO of two soldiers in Seattle, who had just returned from duty in Iraq, BRUTALLY beaten by a gang of men, left in the street to die, and finding the perps should upstage this story all day long.

Yes, I saw that. Bastards.

They will catch them though and no "hate crime" will be charged.

from another thread The brothers, Aruban prosecutors said in a statement, and "other people" were arrested after authorities uncovered "new facts and circumstances," in the investigation. Prosecutors said "there had to be new facts and circumstances" to lead to the arrests.

I'm hoping that they released these two and used super sensitive listening devices to listen to every word they spoke. They may have attempted to secretly contact someone else invloved, perhaps on a beach thinking they couldn't be heard, and discussed the murder.

Possible they talked about that night and gave the police the new (and perhaps only) evidence incriminating them.

Yeah, I know. It took me years of therapy to get over Kinsley never blinking on Crossfire. Just when I finally conquer that, along comes Greta the ventriloquist to send me into a relapse. ]8^D

It will be a legal miracle if justice is served with the Keystone Cops on the case.

IMO What's keeping this in the news is ratings...lots of people want to know what happened to this innocent young woman. Her parents are doing everything possible to keep up the pressure. NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!

Personally I saddened by the amoral tone on the part of some here who suggest that Natalee either deserved what happened to her or that we are misguided fools for keeping this story in the public eye.

As for leaving the US - you know as well as anyone that law enforcement is only human and they can screw up just as much here as anywhere. Of course, the case with Aruba simply points to the fact that lots of other places in the world are far more corrupt and inept than anyhing here.

To stop traveling outside the country IMO simply because of a few sad cases is shortsighted and turns us into cowards.
