The Pope endorses and supports the US government and the US Constitution. The Pope does not advocate the replacement of the Constitution with some Vatican law. Catholicism underwent a Reformation in the 16th century, Muslims have not.
That is why scholars state that the Muslim religion is stuck in the Dark Ages. They have not become enlightened about the role of government versus religion.

It just makes me slightly ill when I read the litany of "Throw out all dem towelheads!" comments on articles like this. People should be judged as indivuals, not as faceless groups. All of the american muslims that I know personally do not want sharia law to overturn the Constitution.
