Today President Bush, in an unscheduled appearance, stood with Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne, and talked with the press in Donnelly, Idaho, fielding questions about Iraq, Israel and Cindy Sheehan. Tomorrow he is scheduled to make a speech to the Idaho National Guard and thank them for their service.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on the Daily Dose!!
mtngrl, many, many prayers will be with you son. Please thank him for his service to our great country and, when he gets to Iraq, if he or his buddies should need anything, please let me know, I will be more than happy to send packages. It is the very least I can do to show how grateful I am for our fine military.
He, you and your husband will be in my prayers.
forgot to include congratulations in my previous post....
Congrats to you and your husband on your anniversary!! Time truly passes so quickly. My hubby and I celebrated 30 yrs in Feb. Doesn't seem that long...think that's a good thing. LOL!
And if I'm not mistaken, I think Jenna caught it, and Dad just helped her pull it in.
Hi snugs. Hope the antibiotics help your Dad to feel better. Let him know we're thinking of him and lots of good wishes are going out to him!
I wanted to start with a full jeans photo, but his face in that one captured my eye, and I went with it.
The only thing outside my sleeping bag was my nose! :)

GREAT READ:
NAMPA GIRL WRITES PRESIDENT BUSH, GETS RESPONSE AND INVITATION TO SPEECH
By Michelle DeGrand
Sisters Taylor and Hayley Sewell are already corresponding with the President and First Lady of the United States through the mail, and despite the millions of letters to the White House each year, these girls have gotten multiple responses and an extra special invitation. Mr. Bush is traveling to their town this week, and the nine and eleven year old girls will get the chance to see him in action.
Since she was seven, Hayley has written five letters to George W. Bush and her sister has written to First Lady Laura Bush. The two have gotten a big response.
"I wrote him the first letter and then I got really excited because he sent letters back in the mail and then I started writing him and he started writing back and it was really fun," said Hayley.
"I'm really surprised how unique the letters are to the letters the children have written to them," said mother Debbie Sewell. She said the return letters are often from White House staff members, but address each question the girls have asked. One letter was even postmarked from Crawford, TX. Sewell also said the president has repeatedly addressed support for U.S. troops overseas and his pride in them. But the subject matter is more often on the lighter side.
"I asked him if he likes peanut butter and jelly with Fritos, if that's his favorite lunch, and it is," said Hayley. So, she invited him to lunch if he was ever in Idaho. Although that may be a stretch, she did get the attention of Idaho Senator Mike Crapo.
"I wasn't sure whether it would be possible to set up a lunch between her and the President so we decided to respond to the letter and uh, I may have to be his stand-in," said Crapo. He plans to take the young girl to lunch Tuesday.
But that wasn't the last of the surprises. The Sewell family also got invitations to President Bush's speech in Nampa Wednesday.
"She understands that millions of people want to see him and to receive an invitation is really a great honor," said Debbie Sewell. Hayley puts the experience into words as only a nine year old could, "Pretty cool," she said.
"It's something they'll look back on as an adult when they're more mature and understand the whole political process a little more they'll appreciate it that much more," said her mother.
"I think it's important and symbolic that the President and his staff realize how important it is that they do respond," added Crapo. And that response has made a very young fan for Mr. President.
"He stands up what's for right, he loves his country, and he's a good man," said Hayley. Senator Crapo said his office alone receives around 50,000 letters each year, and just to get a feel for how special these personalized responses are, Crapo says the Oval Office gets millions of letters each year.

Thanks for the toaster! :D
President Bush will be on C-Span tonight at 12:30, per their schedule.
Some vacation! Poor man needs a break and the media is just constantly at his heels. Just wish they would leave him alone for a day or two.
Thanks for the heads up, Pat!
