Rumsfeld is having a press conference. Under the Fox News Alert the big banner read:
Rumsfeld says that Able Danger briefed the 9/11 Commission.
Did anyone hear his remarks on this matter; all I've seen is the banner.

*sigh* More parsing. We know they were briefed on Able Danger. Did they get the name "Atta" with that, or just a briefcase full of documents that did NOT include the name?

Yes, I think Kean finally admitted that staff was briefed about Able Danger. Banner on FNC said Commission was briefed. Perhaps that's just shortcut by FNC by not saying it was staff.
The sticking point seems to be whether the chart had a picture of Atta.

When you watch the tape, could you ping me regarding Rumsfield's comments about this?

The commission has said that their staff spoke with Able Danger, but were never told about the Atta information. You mean Deitrich Snell, the Clinton flunky and, along with Jamie Gorelick, the gatekeeper of information that the committee saw?

I'd be interested to know if Rumsfeld made the distinction between the staff of the Commission or the COmmission itself. And if he mentioned Atta.
I have GOT to go exercise (I just ate a piece of cake with lunch!)

"Ok, but has he said WHAT Able Danger briefed the 9/11 commission on? Did they share the information about Atta? The commission has said that their staff spoke with Able Danger, but were never told about the Atta information. "Dunno, yet. Methinks, however, it will become a he, he, he, she, he, he, he said vs. lying 9-11 Commission said situation...

Watch you don't get trapped with: It's all about Atta". There were others here before him that were on those planes on 9-11 and he contacted them before he arrived.

Rumsfeld says that Able Danger briefed the 9/11 Commission. And how does Sec. Rumsfeld know this? And when did he know it?
Man, I am usually the last person to call BS on anything, but this is starting to light up in neon letters.
To: Peach
Hmm... so we seem to have multiple confirmations that Able Danger existed, and that it is substantially what it is alleged to be.
Why are the documents gone? What happened to them?
