I hope that she reunites with her family in her mother's crisis and reconsiders the way she has been throwing away her whole life. Too sad.
Asked - And answered Cindy. You have the intelligence of a pound hair and this crap about ""My first born" is getting very thin.
I hate to say it, cause others probably have already.
President Bush will get the blame for the stroke, even if Mom recovers fully.
Olbermann is probably writing copy right now.
Sorry, Cindy, there IS NO DRAFT! No one, especially President Bush, FORCED your son or anyone else to join any part of the military!
Who cares what she says, she's a loon.
He even reenlisted contrary to his mothers political opinion.
If Casey Sheenan didn't care about his mothers political opinions, why should we?
I'm going to ignore his mothers political opinions, too. I'm siding with Casey Sheenan. He has honor.
I wish the brilliant Ms. Sheehan and her ilk would explain to me how it is that we are fighting this war for oil and a gallon of gas is pushing three bucks. Perhaps she can enlighten me since I am but a simple-minded, uninformed dumb ass who doesn't understand the bigger picture.
I just wanted to tell you that you were mentioned, by name, in an article in my newspaper about the Washington Freep. I'm in South Central Texas and was excited to see Free Republic mentioned!!
This has convinced me that, all kidding aside, there is something desperately wrong with this woman and she needs to find help and soon.
this lady is so wrong in so many ways its sickening
Glad to hear Spruiell spoke with Tersch. Someone needed to check out what happened. Thanks for posting this.
Maybe while Cindy's visiting he Mom at the hospital they can do her some good too. Maybe attach a couple of terminals to her head and bombard the glop therein until she stops drooling.
bttt
I was just telling my husband, if I had a daughter who was such a world famous humiliation, I'd have a stroke. Gee, I hope I didn't jinx her.
What infuriates me the most, is that the media is using her words to set up a Viet Nam situation. I was watching the local news last night, and they reported that "mother Sheehan" and her protest had sparked protests all over the Southland- So Cal, and all across the country. Then they showed tightly focused pictures of protesters, to make it look like their were more of them ,and they finished with the reporter saying to the one in the studio "wow, it's really gaining momentum, all across the country", and smiling with glee.
There was no mention of any other families supporting president Bush and the war. And there was certainly no mention of Ms Sheehan's controversial statements or associates.
That's what makes me livid. The press is portraying her as your average middle class mom, who's just like everybody else- when nothing could be further from the truth.
Starting with associating with people who've sent money to the insurgents in Iraq, and her other friends, who had an effigy of an American soldier hanging by the neck in a noose , as a porch decoration. Your average American mom does not have associates like that.
While she has a right to protest, people have a right to know about her ties too.
I would really like to know if she thinks her son is happy with what she's doing.
It's obvious Casey cared very much about his fellow soldiers, and died a hero. It's hard to believe that he would be happy with his mother's actions, or her associates sending money to people attacking his fellow soldiers. Especially considering that he died trying to rescue them from an attack of the insurgents.
This doesn't get ANY press either- how Casey re-enlisted, how he died. IMHO people should know these facts. To not report them , is the press flat out lying to the American people, and pushing a false story.
It's also completely unfair of the press to ONLY allow her coverage and not other families of slain soldiers, Or those who have family members in Iraq, in harms way, for that matter.
The soldiers see this non-stop one-sided coverage of "Mother Sheehan" and write to their family wondering if America supports them anymore, or, if they are going to have a Viet Nam-like homecoming, and be spat on. (I've seen polls that show this is their biggest concern- Americans not supporting them)
They should not have to worry about this while they are in harms way. The efn press should be doing it's job giving "fair and balanced" coverage to the story. Instead of unfair and dishonest propaganda ,trying to deliberately sway the public's opinion against the war.
Not to nitpick, but the author of this piece is kind of dense.
Of course Cindy sent Tony the letter. It says so right there in the email at Bullyard:

I hope that a veteran is waiting for her at the hospital with a tobacco jucie facial just like the one that Jane Fonda got. Cindy Sheehan is a modern day Jane Fonda.
