Tonight Shaffer, with his usual concise and direct style, gave us new tidbits to ponder.
In response to Hannity's question regarding how and why the infomation was not passed along Shaffer offered, "A two star general repremanded him in his strenuous insistance that the information regarding Atta and three others should be passed to the FBI. He was blocked and blocked completly by this two star who went so far as to upbraid him and remind him he was a general and Shaffer was not. "
This is one more significan blow to the criminal actions of the 9/11 CYA commission and perhaps a certain general. I can't wait till his name comes out. Perhaps he is no longer in the chain of command as sure he would still be working to block this coming out.
Although it didn't get much notice on FR earlier today information from Shaffer stated that the Bush Administration had known about these revelations since two weeks after 9/11. Very nearly four years. evidently they chose to let sleeping dogs lie. Probably part of Bush's 'New Tone in Washington' plan.

LOL, but 2 tera bytes of data on a computer is a lottttttttttts of data.
I know that the numbers are just for effect but still without reference it's still just so much BS. Comparing boxes of data to kilo, mega or even tera bytes of computer data is just....well, funny.

I agree. Back then it was megabyte and gigabyte was fairly common but terabyte was still coming. The reference to the 15 boxes is a stretch. I just hope Shaffer is not just using these numbers for effect but there comes a time to produce the goods as well as the names.
I hope someone will ask these questions and it will become clear and I'll say, yah sounds resonable to me.

It's incredible. Clinton and his crew say the most horrible things about Bush Jr. and Bush Sr. becomes Bill's new daddy. I'd want to take a baseball bat to the guy. This is even more disgusting when you consider that W and more than likely Bush Sr. knew about ABLEDANGER weeks after 9/11, but have no problem saddling up with the SOB.

Speaking of the "new tone", I'm beginning to think (after all this time) that it's Bush practice to let the American people bring these issues to the forefront than for his administration to point fingers and lay blame. It's harder to cry "politics" when it's the voters demanding answers.

It IS troubling isn't it?
Well like I always say: DC is a foetid cesspool of power whores in a never ending circle jerk.

Well, bubba sent some cruise missiles to the Bathists in retaliation for Bush senior's near assassination. I think that was meaningful in someways we'll never know.

All the world knows that Gorelick as Clinton's servant in the Attorney General's office was tasked to hamstring law enforcement at the federal level in order to protect Clinton from prosecution or exposure in his many illegal escapades and fund raising. Thus 'The Wall'.
Then in a master stroke of rare genius Gorelic was put on the 9/11 CYA Commission in order to put in the fix. The world was not to know just how horribly the Clinton Adminstration had dropped the ball in protecting this nation from terrorism.
To hell with all the psychobabble of the 9/11 commission and that they were not informed, etc. The main focus should ONLY be on the erection of the "Wall," and it's founders should be held responsible and sent to jail!
The "Wall" is likely the reason for the 9/11 attack, and if the "Wall" had NOT been there the likelihood is that the attack could have been prevented. They were not either allowed to look into the 20th hijacker Mussauiw, or whatever his name is!!!

During one of his interviews in the last few days, Shaffer mentioned that the Able Danger team was looked at oddly because what they were doing didn't really make sense
at the time. I think he described it as a group that was off doing their own thing. If it was top secret and futuristic (at the time) I don't think terabyte is all that odd....for them. ;)

Remember Gorelick was the DoD's General Counsel before she went to DOJ and completed the wall building.
Before or after the Waco slaughterhouse???

Anybody know how the commission members were determined? How Gorelick got on it?

Does VADM mean "Vice Admiral" and not a two-star General? It's probably some General lower in the DIA command.

I think we here at FR--yes, I'm guilty as well-- have spent way too much time on Cindy Sheehan and her anti-Semitic moonbat pals. We need to dig into this Able Danger thing. It's really important. That was Cindy Sheehan's purpose. Her sad, sad story was meant to obfuscate, and that it did.
Look at the times when both stories dropped. There's no such thing as coincidence.

Nobody on FR however wants to talk about why the Bush administration accepted this outrage of Gorelick on the Commision. Nor do they wish to speak of why the sickening failure brought to light by Shaffer was allowed to go unremarked by same.I had a few choice words about that yesterday. Few replies, and none of them were negative. It's indefensible, IMO.
I think the bots are hanging around the Sheehan non-story.

Talked with a former Centcom guy the other day. He said they knew nothing of the Able Danger program.
But I wouldn't think they would. It seems to me that their job is to deal with military operations after the fact, not the preventive intelligence which protects us quietly day to day.

Oh, IMHO the proximity of the Bushs' to Clinton is brilliant politics.....when its all said and done, Dubya will own the fraction of the Democrats outside of the Clinton cabal.....if he acted to bring them down, it is too partisan....if they go down from the bottom up..eg from guys like us,...it becomes American.
