Impressive rant, but Rush neveer answered the guy's question. Why DON'T more CEO's politicians, etc. have kids in uniform?

I thought he did answer the question:

"Why didn't the president's daughters go? It's a volunteer force! The president didn't "send" Cindy Sheehan's son over there; he volunteered."

Our legislators have made the armed forces a volunteer effort. Perhaps the question might be better phrased: Why don't more 'senator's sons' volunteer for military service as a career choice?

And now I'm wondering just how many young adult children we are talking about? I doubt Ted Kennedy or Pat Leahy have kids that are the usual age for military service.

Pure unadulterated crap!

A "volunteer" Army does not equate to volunteering to go to Iraq.

How many "volunteers" are we getting these days?

Why are there efforts afoot to raise the recruitment age for all services to AGE FORTY-TWO?
