The president didn't "send" Cindy Sheehan's son over there; he volunteered." Pure unadulterated crap!
A "volunteer" Army does not equate to volunteering to go to Iraq.
How many "volunteers" are we getting these days?
Why are there efforts afoot to raise the recruitment age for all services to AGE FORTY-TWO?

This is what you volunteer for. Thats what you get paid for, thats where the benefits come from. If there is a conflict while your are in, your are called up it does not get any simpler than that OKAY?? Here is the OATH as follows. I took it more than 30 years ago.
I, ___________________________________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed overme, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.
