H.O.T. Chapter Event on Saturday, August 27, in Crawford--Final Plans
me ^ | Aug 18, 2005 | basil

Posted on 08/18/2005 6:12:33 AM PDT by basil

Here's the more detailed plans for our event in Crawford on SATURDAY, AUGUST 27.

I have been in contact with the organizer of the Move America Forward Caravan Planner. We decided that the best place to meet up with the caravan is in Waco. We can meet in the WalMart parking lot at the intersection of I-35 and Lake Shore. That is on the west side of I-35.

I would suggest that if you plan to follow the caravan in from Waco, that you be at the parking lot no later than 11:45--they may be running later, but won't be there any earlier. If you can't or don't want to follow the caravan in, then come on over to Crawford

The last I heard, the caravan folks had not gotten a permit for a place to gather. I went ahead and got one for us--just to make sure we had a place. If they get one, and we don't need the one I have, I will cancel it. Unless he changes it, Police Chief Donnie has put us in the same place we were last time--only we have both sides of the stadium this time, and MAYBE the stadium itself. He is checking on that.

We have our permit from 9AM-5 PM, and I plan to arrive by 9AM.

Please help me ping everyone who was on the other thread--and add anything to this one that is pertinent and that I have forgotten, please.

Bush's fault.

Women and children impacted most!

Hi basil. I haven't seen y'all since Walburg, but I've been travelling on business so much I'm never home when you guys plan an assault! :-(

I'm in Korea right now, but you could say I'm working hard to help out in my own capitalist pig kinda way! (Helping the Koreans make big screen TVs to send back to the States so that more people can see Freeper anti-protest signs on the news more clearly!)

'Peace Mom' Leaves Camp, Her Mother Ill

CRAWFORD, Texas - The grieving mother who started an anti-war demonstration near President Bush's ranch nearly two weeks ago said Thursday she was leaving because her mother had a stroke.

Cindy Sheehan told reporters she had just received the phone call and would rush to her 74-year-old mother's side. Her mother lives in the Los Angeles area. "I'll be back as soon as possible if it's possible," Sheehan said. After hugging some of her supporters, she got in a van and left. Sheehan, of Vacaville, Calif., said the makeshift campsite off the road leading to Bush's ranch would continue. The camp has grown to more than 100 people, including many relatives of soldiers killed in Iraq. Sheehan had vowed to remain until Bush met with her or until his month-long vacation was over.

How on earth can such a decision be made if the mother just now suffered a stroke? Something fishy here--at least IMHO. A stroke can be anything from minor--up to and including death.

As soon as I saw the 24-48 hour return announcement, I smelled something fishy. And believe you me...I'm curious.

The stroke victims in my family, it took days to find out the extent of the stroke. Something weird here maybe.

"And believe you me...I'm curious."

She cares more about playing Drama Queen than about her own mother's life.

Her recent actions, no doubt, have caused considerable stress in Gramma Sheehan.

This woman is a disgrace.

She chose her 'cause' over her husband and children. I imagine her mother is pretty far down on her list of giveadamns.

Prayers for Cindy's mother. I hope it's not too bad, this family's been through too much already. I keep thinking of Cindy's other kids: they've lost their brother, their parents are divorcing, their mother's grief and pain is being exploited in an obscenely public way to advance a radical political agenda, and she's apparently left them to deal with their own grief alone, halfway across the country. I sincerely hope they don't have to lose their Grandmother too, right now.

Shep Smith just said on FoxNews that Cindy plans to return to Crawford as soon as possible after gooing to her mother's side.

Something fishy here

I'll bet she doesn't come back.
She may have recognized her own signs of meltdown and lunacy.

If her mom truly had a stroke she's not going to be ok in 24-48 hours.

I agree. If I had to say...I'd say, she'll be back to Crawford. She's on a ego trip that only comes along once in some peoples life. She won't give up the spotlight willingly.
