As long as it's not something that's mentioned by the teacher to the students in any way, shape or form, I would have no problem with it.
And your point is? It takes two to tango. Just because I enjoy pointing out the logical shortcomings of FR homophobes does not mean that I am in any way a supporter of the so-called homosexual agenda.
if you are now against the homosexual agenda THAT would be unsual.
What leads you to conclude that I have any feelings about the so-called "homosexual agenda?"
The 'evidence' in confrimation is your posting to me -duh...
No, it isn't. You didn't do too well in logic, did you?
The government being entirely removed from education is exactly what I'm advocating.
He's entitled to his opinion. However, anyone who understands how studies such as this need to be performed, knows that a self-selecting study is in no way persuasive.
I agree. No teacher, whether gay or not, should be talking about their sexuality in the classroom. It is not appropriate.
Maybe we can just go ahead and end this endless disagreement and discussion by saying let's all support the President and the troops in Iraq and the WOT, last I heard the islamofascists give someone "convicted" of homosexual behavior get a choice of punishment a)buried alive or b)have a building collapsed down on you. Maybe this is also someone's fantasy too, but whatever the punishment is under their system, it isn't tolerant.
What do ya'll think about Drew Bledsoe playing for the Cowboys? (Can we change the subject, its so gay)
What the hell is the "homosexual agenda" anyways? You seem rational, please explain it to me.
I'm not sure if support the "homosexual agenda". I think the government has no business defining a marriage, nor do they have any business regulating people's sex lives. I am, however, against hate crime laws, as I think they are just more pointless legislature. Are there any other parts to the "homosexual agenda"?
I would only care if the teacher were interested sexually in the children in his/her care. Same goes for heterosexual teachers. I would probably be leery of a male homosexual teacher at the elementary level.
What part of the words "it is my BELIEF" didn't you understand. I was not unequivocally stating it as fact.
I simply don't believe your stretch of the imagination from taking your own experience of having no undue influence until college and extrapolating that to mean that it must not exist because YOU haven't experienced it.
I don't need to rethink my statement, because it is a belief, just as I believe that homosexuality is a deviancy and I BELIEVE deviant tendancies cannot be turned off and on like a faucet.
The LA LA land comment was given primarily in disbelief that you had NEVER experience ANY social, political, or orientation influence from a teacher until college. From my experience, the only place where that could happen IS in LA LA land or possibly in a home-schooled situation.
Yes
No
Yes
Deviance is deviance. I don't want deviants instructing children, period. I don't want my tax dollars going to pay them to do that.
Either by example- or outward proselytizing- homosexuals are trying to make the abnormal normal. If it's something like homosexuality-which is a either a psycholical or biological aberration- I don't want the 'but' factor helping to do that.
" He is attracted to men not women-BUT- he's a nice guy who tells jokes and loves his mother."
" She hates her femaleness, wants to be a man, dresses and acts like one- BUT- she gives to charity and makes French easy."
" She/He was born one sex, dresses as another and wants to be treated that way- BUT- they can give you advice on makeup as well as coach the basketball team."
What you ARE in private DOES come across in your public dealings- and how many homosexuals keep their lifestyles private?
Petting dogs did not make Adolph Hitler kind, nor did not eating all of his family make Jeffery Dahmer a normal person. Being able to function, daily, on a normal level does not negate the disorder- and the disorder, IMO, colors every aspect of the personality in some way.
IMO homosexuality is a disorder. It exists outside the biological norm. Being born a man who thinks he's a woman is- IMO again- NO different than being born a short blond who thinks he's Abraham Lincoln, or the Easter Bunny, or anything else he is not.
Anyone whose basic humanity is that aberrant should have NOTHING whatever to do with children. Just as I wouldn't want a delusional person with a self-identity problem teaching children, I do not want homosexuals.
And I am consistent. I don't want Catholic priests who are homosexuals counseling or ministering to children either. I don't even want homosexuals to be in the clergy at all.
And YES- I have known MANY, MANY homosexuals. I grew up right outside the French Quarter. I worked in the Vieux Carre for years, and homosexuals were daily customers in my shop. I have seen it all- and it has reinforced all of my views. For the record- I'm a middle-aged, white female.
Whoops- It's YES, NO, NO.
It depends on what part of the country it is...
Amen brother! BTTT
It's been described to me before, but I don't really remember it. You might want to ask someone like scripter.
I think the government has no business defining a marriage, nor do they have any business regulating people's sex lives. I am, however, against hate crime laws, as I think they are just more pointless legislature. Are there any other parts to the "homosexual agenda"?
We're more or less on the same page, though I might disgree when it comes to hate crimes.
I don't know how any of that falls under the gay agenda, if at all.
What you have to realize, is that many Freepers are not actually opposed to intrusive big government. They just want such intrusive big government to do their bidding.
Yes, no, no.
BTW notice how the questions are set up to be misleading
A Y/n/n
couple with the N/N/N or N/Y/Y can be mixed and matched to misrepresent results.
Seems to me that being "openly gay" would bring their private life to class.....
I agree BUMP!
I noticed.
They can try the 'we're just like everyone else' on someone who doesn't know better. They don't call hets ' straight' for nothing- homosexuals are 'bent',to some degree, in all aspects of their personalities.
I knew a few I liked very much- superficially, as people to chat and lunch with- in the Quarter. They ran the gamut- from straight-looking, you'd-never-know males, to drag queens. Some were more obviously 'broken' than others, but the deviancy was the common denominator- and it ALWAYS came down to that.
