UPDATE NUMBER EIGHT:
1:00 PM Texas Time
CntTxan indicates over 100 people now there and growing. They are about to start up. Apparently the media is there.
They have some shade and a cool breeze...not too hot at the moment.
Let's make sure we give these guys our full support. I will be making updates every half hour unless they call into me with something in between. He is going to try and find someone with a camera cell phone who can email me pictures directly from the sitre if possib;e. Otherwise we will have to depend on media pictures or wait until some of these guys get hom tonight.
God bless these guys for their support of our troops today. CntTxan has 12 of 13 people there with him who all have served, many of them in Iraq.

VallerieUSA will be heading back to Austin with a bunch of photos and should have those posted by around 5 PM. CNTTXAN indicates between one hundred and one hundred and fifty p[atriotic, flag waving supporters of our troops now there. I could hear Dr. Raul talking in the background as CntTxan gave his report. Go RAUL! CNTTXAN indicates that vehicles are backed up on the main road in fornt of the rally. Lots of drive by support too.
Everything is going very well, very smooth, very well behaved. Have had a few taunts from anti-protestors, but they are being ignored. They are letting their numbers, their enthusiasm, their flags and the speakers do the talking for them.
Again, let's all make sure we give these guys our full support. BUMP the thread often. Post comments and pictures you may find.

I talked to them in Crawford and let them know the great news about the FOX News picturees. They were charged to hear it. Also let them know about the disgusting news of an Iraqi insurgent/occupation site promoting Cindy Sheehan's activities that Brad's Gramma found. Sadkly, and sickenly, it says it all.
CNTTXAN indicated a small group broke off from the anti people and came over and was flipping them off and messing a little with their signs, but our people politiely, but firmly, let them know that would not be tolerated and the left. Hoepfully the local LEOs will keep that kind of thing under control.
The crowd has gotten bigger, the media is still there as well...at least four crews. CNTTXAN was talking to the Waco news as we spoke.
Maybe over 150 freepers and soldier supporters there now and growing. We have some Freepers still en route. Heat is not too bad...they have shade, a breeze and water. Can't ask for to much more in the Texas summer. Okay folks, that's it for now. BUMP the thread often. Post comments and pictures (like any more from FOX) you may find.

CNTTXAN just called and indicated that an individual who is with the 1st CAV just spoke and really had the crowd going. He was in the first Gulf War and just got back from another tour to Iraq with IraqiFreedom.
This is really getting some major press now.
They indicate that the other pro troop rally has over a 100 people as well...between the two rallies now between 250-300 supportters there...most of them coming with less than a day's notice.
Next major update still at 2:30 PM, Texas time.
Let them know about Cindy now being featured on Al Jazeera. Also let them know about the service man from the Kosovo war where his father was not happy with Clinton's response and the dirth of MSM coverage on that story.
CNTTXAN indicates that the level of people has remained about the same...but that does not do justice to the numbers because quite a few are leaving with others coming. He can't give an overall estimate, but it is higher than the high mark of 150+ people there at once.
Freeper Basil was talking as we were speaking and I could here her giving 'em what for in the background. Go Basil!
CNTTXAN indicates that the LEOs there are their friends, appreciative of many of the Freepers service to their country, in Iraq and elsewhere, so that there is absolutely no traction for the anti-protestors to get the police worked up over the pro troop rally.
CNTTXAN indicated that they would be rapping up the rally in the next 1/2 to full hour so our next update will be the last...although some people are going to hang around.

The rally has wound down now. The last speaker at the podium was CNTXAN's 17 year old daughter! She spoke from the heart, having had a father who served. We need a lot more of that and God bless CNTXAN and his for raising her up in such a fashion.
CNTXAN is on his way home to Killeen. Several other Freepers were heading to eat, I believe in Waco or somewhere in the vicinity. They had great medai coverage, very sympathetic and supporitve law enforcement, and a lot of supportive and grateful passerbys.
I wish to God there could be some way that this effort can continue every weekend as long as the other side camps outsoide the President's door. It makes a difference and gets people energized all over the country...as I know it has done today.
I can speak from experience, at Klamath Falls it made all the difference in the world as literally first tens, and then hundreds of thousands of people who couldn;t be there on the ground with us...but who heard about it over the internet and talk radio as we made our reports...took action wherever they lived. That is exaclty what ois needed here too.
