Hanoi Kerry was still a USNR officer while he:
gave false hearsay testimony to Congress
negotiated with the enemy
helped the US lose a war
abetted in the deaths of millions
created a hostile environment for all servicemen

Why is Kerry still in the US Senate?

HeHeHeHe....I get to do that everyday as do spiff, hijinx, the FR banished Jackelopebreeder and many others we work with that just lurk; we work directly supporting the new soldiers coming out of AIT, OBC & OAC with new software to do their job, as instructors, as field support techs (and a good number of those have been in theater several times right with the frontline troops at BN level) and that's just duty hours.

Kidding aside Tonk you left off an easy one to recommend.

Be a Boy Scout Leader or a Girl Scout Leader and a friend to the spouse left behind to help raise up a strong healthy service member's child and instill the values we so cherish in them.

Oh you know it!

It is SO easy to send stuff to our troops. And it does not cost that much either. I know the stuff I send Old Sarge is not just for him. What I send gets shared out to a lot of men and women over there.

I also write on the boxes I send because I know other service people see the message. "We support our troops", "Far away, but not forgotten". I also pack small US flags in the boxes.

As for here, send lunch to your local recruiter. Thank a Vet. It only takes a few minutes to do any of this and you and I know it makes a BIG difference in the life of a service person.

You're right on with that one Tonkin.

Logan's too little to take to a protest (he hates cars!! and no plane service to Crawford from here)... but you can bet we are doing our part.

I have just joined a quilt group that is making quilts for injured troop (men and women) and the quilts are given to them in the hospital. Great way to say "thank you" and to let them wrap themselves in love and comfort.
