I'm ready - where are we going next? :o)
When we went out Prairie Chapel Road - my girls were so excited - kept talking about breathing President Bush's air. lol We came to a place where there were cars on either side and a bit of bottleneck. They had blocked off the road going further but when the very very nice LE asked me which side I was on and I told him - he directed us onto a man's property who had given permission for the "good guys" to park there. Lovely. Wish I could thank him. But then we would have had to walk a good ways but two Marines driving by gave us a lift right up to the "triangle".
We also drove by the "Peace House" and it was like an ant hill. They thought we wanted to park there til the girls waved their flags out the windows at them. lol

Live From Crawford, Texas
August 12, 2005
Power Line reader Gene Allen has been in Crawford, Texas, and sends this report on the ongoing media circus there:
I just returned from Crawford where I met some people from Israel yesterday as they fueled their motor home. They were there to drive out to the ranch as a tribute to President Bush and as an expression of gratitude for his support of Israel. Ill be back down there Tuesday-Thursday and when I return I can e-mail some photos if you wish. This town of 800 is crawling with visitors who can be divided into four general categoriestwo good, two bad.
THE GOOD:
1) People on a pilgrimage to see President Bushs ranch and downtown Crawford;
2) Police, more specifically, Secret Service, U.S. Marshals, Texas Rangers and County Sheriffs Deputies;
THE BAD:
3) Protestors; and
4) Press covering the protestors only.
The good guys fill with gas and diesel and dine on cheeseburgers at the Coffee Station where the walls are adorned with enlarged snapshots of President Bush working the crowd and dining on a Coffee Station burger. That wont happen this year, and perhaps never again because of the bad guys.
The bad guys hang at the Crawford Peace House, a dump of a house that looks like Hippie Central with dozens of cars, vans, SUVs and campers parked on the grass. Add portable toilets for ambience and you get the picture. This is the staging center for protests at the ranch nine miles up Prairie Chapel Road.

So heartwarming to hear how helpful the "good guys" are, isn't it? Thanks for being there.
