Also, what makes a 'cold case' is lack of evidence and no further leads. The investigators have run the leads into dead ends.

When DNA became available many 'old cases' were resolved. There is a bank of unsolved cases that has some DNA evidence, only the authorities do not have persons of interest to match it to them. Waiting until a suspect in another case shows up and they can prove involvement in a previous case.

Oh, if passion could solve criminal case. It helps exceedingly. Only there has to be evidence. Or witness or confession, etc.

I pray Natalie's case is solved soon.
