This was the entire story from a German Newspaper:

"From a German newspaper: The intl. news section, where they talked about George (Jug) Twitty from Mountain Brook, Alabama, who's stepdaughter had been disappeared on the Caribbean Island of Aruba in the beginning of June. Regarding the extensive media coverage, they brought up that one of the main reporters for Fox News Network Greta van Susteren has a very special connection to the case. Her husband, John P. Coale, and George Twitty are both investors in a large real estate development in Richmond, VA. Each of them hold 25% of the development. The other 50% is held by a group of 2 Germans and a Dutch investor, who resides in the self-governing entity of Aruba. I think it's interesting that Greta, her husband, and the Twitty's are business partners with what people here like to refer to as the "Dutch Elite. It's a small world. The fact that Coale (Greta's hubby) and Twitty have some connection doesn't seem odd, and "a Dutch investor residing in Aruba" - there are thousands of people in Aruba. Is someone trying to say that this Dutch investor is one of the key players in this? Maybe the investor was Charles Croes. He seemed to be willing to help the HT family and was asked to help by a close friend. I am assuming the friend is the investor. Maybe it was him. That would make sense. C. Croes is not the Dutch investor. Remember that Croes was referred to the Twitty's by a "friend." I find it odd that none of this has come up before. If the Twitty's have some ties to Aruba--a business partner in a large development--then it seems that would have been discussed--and the ties with Greta as well. Background info is important, otherwise you can't see the total picture and can draw the wrong conclusion. Like asking whatever the MB kids knew and what Natalee did (who did she have lunch with???)--all of that paints part of the picture. You know in Mexico, many of the families buy kidnapping insurance--and there are cases that the people who sell the insurance, then tell the kidnappers who has it--no sense kidnapping someone who cant pay. It is incredulous (if this story is accurate) that Greta Van Susteren has not said anything about her close involvement with the Twittys. It is irresponsible "journalism" if one can keep calling it journalism.

IF this is true, the plot thickens. No wonder Faux News is all over this story. Who is the Dutch investor? We need a good investigative reporter - where's Geraldo when you need him? Oh that won't work, cause he's at Fox too.

Something is getting very rotten. The FBI started looking into Jug Twitty's entrepeneural past and the picture ain't pretty. The feds are keeping their findings 'under wraps', mainly to ensure the media doesn't spoil their search by jumping en masse on the findings in the Twitty background. This case is huge and seems to be something completely different. Enormous amounts of money are envolved. Yoran and the Kalpoe bros begin to look more like patsies everyday. If AmSouth was involved in money laudering and Jug's brother is VP of AmSouth, seems like that could be an indication of kidnapping plot. Beth jumped directly to the kidnapping theory because she is smart and knew that was the only way the FBI would get involved. DRUMMOND OIL. Nothing to do with AmSouth, but DRUMOND OIL. Think Oil. Who ususually kidnaps when oil is involved? It also makes a kidnapping more of a possibility, in my mind. That would be why Beth immediately drew that conclusion.

"Natalie was caught up in something much larger" and now the family is too. Natalie's family is realizing they are up against a very powerful mafia family/network. The mobsters are closing rank, and it may be difficult to get justice. I don't think this necessarily means there are complex conspiracies going on.

Joran has got himself in trouble and the family connections tried to protect him. With all the attention Natalie's family has drawn to her disappearance the situation is spiraling out-of-control for the mafioso and desperate measures are being taken - closing the landfill, shutting off communication with Natalie's family. Justice may be achieved through the media as Joran is likely in big trouble with the people who tried to cover-up for him. Joran is into power and control and he got overconfident with regard to his predatory capabilities. Also, he feels invincible because of the family's mobster connections. Joran and his buddies probably underestimated Natalie. They may have drugged her, but maybe not with a total knock-out drug (Ecstasy perhaps?).She may have been just cognizant enough to realize she had walked into a trap and then fought back. One forensic expert on Fox said Joran said Natalie had fallen down in order to explain (if her body was found) why she had a head injury/ The professionals/family (how about the fraternal order of ???) connections were called to fix the situation. They are probably not real pleased with Joran right now because his actions have drawn attention to Aruba's underworld dealings. If tourist industry dies the mobsters will lose all those US dollars they are laundering through the casinos and other front businesses. "

It's also been reported that the Twitty's had a $2million dollar kidnapping insurance policy on Natalee."

"IF this is true, the plot thickens"

I've heard Dave Holloway TWICE say BETH can make some explanations after this is over...not a quote, but words to that effect.....TWICE.....a week or longer apart, at least a month or longer ago. One of the instances followed a question about whether Dave wanted Natalee to not go to aruba in the first place.....and I can't remember how it came about the second time, but it was not about her going to aruba.

Yes, the plot thickens.

Thanks for finding this stopem. It gives a better context to the allegations. Some flag words make me seriously doubt the source and further bolster the supposition that this is merely disinformation.

Yet, even with disinformation, there is a kernal of truth. What is the relationship between the Twittys and the "friend" who got Charles Croes involved? Are they investment buddies? Is it germaine to the case? Possibly not, but on the other hand, it may be a valid thread for investigation . . .
