The supporter, friends and well wishers of Washington DC 630 WMAL's Michael Graham, are gathering at the Montgomery County fairgrounds http://www.mcagfair.com/directions.htm to protest the station's suspension of Graham over his comments on Islam.

Graham was originally on vacation/suspension for a week, but has not been heard since his supposed return on Monday, August 8th, even though WMAL's line-up still features him and he is heard in the advertisements.

Critics of Graham's suspension including SupportMichaelGraham.com point out that no action was taken untill the Coalition on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) complained to the station about Graham's apparent 'hate speech', and that the suspension is in violation of Graham's free speech rights. In response to CAIR's complaints to WMAL and parent station ABC, management officially suspended Graham on the 28th of July. In response to the suspension, the organizers of SupportMichaelGraham.com are holding a rally at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg, Maryland in front of the WMAL booth tonight at 6pm.

Wish I had heard of this sooner! Cannot make it but would certainly love to be there.
I still hear the daily line up at WMAL and they still announce Michael Graham's show at 0900. What's up with that? I'm in a cubicle and don't know if he's on at that time.

A few years ago, I had a chance to talk to a man who served ice cream from an ice cream truck. He was at one time a very successful restauranteur. During the course of conversation, he said " I used to have friends"
While this is customary behavior in Washington, DC, let us in dcchapter not let it happen to us.

I would love to be there but we're on Walter Reed duty tonight.

Did this happen five times?
sorry, stuck keyboard
Maybe the reason they still have that commercial on the air is that he'll come back once the hoopla dies down. At least I hope so. Haven't heard him a lot, but when I did I liked his show.
This is one of the few people out there willing to critically examine Islam rather than just join the 'misunderstood religion' club! His show is funny, sharp and thoroughly researched!
hiccups?
Ditto - see you soon.
That means I'll have to have (I'm on vacation).
Can I wear my "Kill 'em All, Let Allah Sort 'em Out!" t-shirt?
have = shave
