Well since the Space Shuttle is landing at 4:45 am, I figure I start a live thread now (I won't be awake)...
I was here also on that Columbia thread. Seems a long time. The MSM did not have anything until about ten minutes after we figured she was lost. A Freeper in Texas reported seeing it as it broke apart.
I would prefer a good bluegrass son... Man of Constant Sorrow..
Shows NASA has a sense of humor. I'm gonna quit now and be back for landing. (hopefully)
For some reason I couldn't sleep that night (morning). I clicked on Fox News and decided to watch a routine shuttle landing. I didn't log on to FR until about 20 minutes after the scheduled landing time and found the Live Shuttle landing thread. You are right, FR had better info than the MSM.
OK, I'm confused. How do you listen? I'm on cable hookup...high speed.
NASA.gov, find one of the various links to NASA tv
If this keeps up I am going to be a NasaTV junkie as much as CSpan.
Current FL radar. I imagine things will be clear by morning, though.
One more thing, go with Windows Media Player... It has better resolution than real player..
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Normally..did anyone else notice a resolution drop just now?
Is that one of those ancy expensive mesh office chairs I see in the control room?
I don't begrudge them because I would want to sit comofortably for hours on end too.
No...
Nevermind, it's back to normal after restarting it.
It could be due to traffic...
I think it automatically choked my quality setting when I started loading several other things. Is back to normal now.
working the problem? why did they allow re-entry to even start, shouldn't they have worked the problem while in orbit? or is it that they didn't realize it until re-entry had already started?
The visual scrutiny wasn't as intense as it was this mission, because they had no idea anything was wrong. Everything was done by instrument, no one visually looked at the wing to see the damage.
