From friends at ABC; Peter Jennings is near death. This is unconfirmed, but from usually reliable sources.
The ABC anchor, who was born in Canada but became a US citizen, announced a few months ago that he was suffering from lung cancer. He has not made a televised appearance since.
Prayers for him and his family.
I'm guessing the Admin Moderator won't move it to breaking news until it's on a linkable website.
I have not seen that on there website.
It is interesting. Peter Jennings was one of the one's who came up with the religious segment and correspondent on ABC. I really do believe he is searching for who God is but probably has not found Him. I don't know if Peter was trying to appeal to people of faith or trying to search himself. I pray he accepts Jesus Christ before he leaves thsi earth.
Thank you so much for the information.
My brother was diagnosed three weeks ago with non-small cell lung cancer and had his top lobe of his right lung removed.
Doctors told him it was caught at Stage one, which is very rare, that no lymph nodes were involved and he wouldn't need any follow up treatments. The doctors sent him on his way, telling him to come back in 6 months.
With all the information here, that advice is making me nervous. I wonder now, should he go get another opinion.
Prayers up for Peter Jennings.
Scary stuff.
I'm saddened to hear about Jennings, while I don't agree with his politics I respect him as a human being and a member of our earth family. I hope he finds peace in his final days whether they be near or further into the future. God will do what's best in this situation, please keep us posted with any further information you have.
Agreeing with you in prayer, Faith.
Sorry for your loss, prayers up for you and your family.
Kimmy, TRUST ME...I know people who have survived Lung Cancer..decades ago. Sure, get another opinion if it makes you feel better....but eventally you will have to trust one opinion or the other..Blessings..sw
I don't know anything about lung cancer but I had breast cancer and my doctor had me take 12 weeks of chemo (1 treatment every 3 weeks) just for precaution measures. If you or your brother are worried about it I would get another opinion. I know that I would.
You can get his test reports and x-rays and have another doctor look at them or have another doctor do the entire checkup over again. I still see my Oncologist every 3 months and a cat-scan and bone density tests every 6 months. It's been almost 2 years that I was diagnosed.
Error = Make that Frank Reynolds, not "Max Reynolds." I hate "brain fade." B-)
I have to agree with that. What Dan Blather did, went beyond personal politics.
Sorry to hear of your loss, prayers up for you and your family.
Prayers for Peter and family.
Jennings did a helluva job on New Year's 2000. Even Fox News gave their appreciation.
Thanks for posting this information. Cancer is an awful disease and I wouldn't wish it on anyone (even Dan Rather). Prayers out for Peter Jennings, and his family.
Thank you for the positive info.
I feel somewhat comfortable about his treatment, but then again, it isn't me who was diagnosed with it.
But I appreciate your words of encouragement. Thanks.
Thanks so much for all the information.
I wish you well my dear, with your journey.
I have read a few of your posts in the past. You are a real inspiration to many.
Good luck with your treatment. You are in my prayers.
It's a shame if this is true. Prayers for his family.
