I think if they have some idea that a specific area will be hit by conventional attacks, they'll raise the alert levels to RED for those specific areas. But if the big event is WMD, I have to agree with you AD. They won't give a whisper to the citizenry. But I'll bet they warm up the birds on the subs and in the silos. At least I hope they do. If we're hit by a nuke, let alone several, we should turn the ME into oil under glass.
Let's keep an eye on where TBTB are located. Anyone in a bunker at the moment? More than the usual number? Any unusual number of trips out of the country?
I agree we will NOT be told about an upcoming WMD attack and I believe they have a pretty good idea of when it is planned. Other countries gossip....
