Hey, AD! I always enjoy a discussion that involves you. I think that the temples are very important to orthodox Jews, and their restoration is part of jewish prophesy so it's not surprising that they would be gathering material for such a restoration. I was quite surprised when this article came out recently that indicated that some folks over there were so convinced that the opportunity for restoration was imminent enough to create actual construction plans! I can't remember my end times eschatology well enough to know just exactly where in the Heavenly timeline the restoration of the Temple comes, but it wouldn't surprise me if it fell neatly around the appearance of the AntiChrist.

From what I've read about the Tribulation, it will be split in two. The first 3 1/2 year period will be full of peace and tranquility. The AntiChrist will have all the answers and will solve all the problems through the installation of the one world government. I believe that is will during this time the Mark of the Beast will be implemented. I would also expect the Temple to be rebuilt during this same time frame.

The second 3 1/2 year period of the Tribulation will be NASTY. The AntiChrist will be killed by a head wound but will be resurrected in a mocking imitation of Jesus. Christians will be rounded up, killed and tortured.

Somewhere in there are 2 Prophets will will be killed by the AntiChrist but will also rise again. They be taken up into Heaven in front of hundreds of witnesses.
