The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

It's hardly a unique fashion statement for a mass transit rider: a Yankees-style cap, and a "New York" sweat shirt.

But the New York Police Department is teaming with British authorities to determine whether those items were worn by suspects in the London terror cases to send a "purposeful message" to the city, according to an NYPD officials.

David Cohen, the NYPD's deputy commissioner of intelligence, raised the concern earlier this week at a security briefing for business leaders at police headquarters in Lower Manhattan.

I'm one of those who believe the desecration of the Temple will come after we're gone, but I have no clue when it will be built. All I know is that the closer we are to the Temple being built, the closer we are to being "outta here."

A good book I read several years ago is "End Time Events," by Charles Capps. I can't remember all the details, but I know he didn't try to set any dates because I would have thrown the book out.

The station was evacuated after a telephone caller claimed a passenger on an Intercity train in the station had a hand grenade. Train traffic around the station was also halted."

MEXICAN NATIONAL CONVICTED OF NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING
Woman was driving bullet-proof luxury vehicle

MCALLEN, Texas — A federal jury here found a Mexican woman guilty of attempting to smuggle narcotics hidden inside a luxurious 323i BMW car equipped with bulletproof windows and Kevlar, following an investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Adela Lara-Barajas, 35, was convicted on four separate counts that include: conspiracy to import into the U.S., possession with intent to distribute, and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 13 kilograms of methamphetamine worth an estimated street value of $350,000.

The investigation began April 2, when Lara-Barajas was attempting to enter the United States through the Hidalgo, Texas, Port of Entry in a 2000 Blue BMW 323i series bearing license plates from Jalisco, Mexico. During a routine border inspection, U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers discovered 13 kilograms (28.6 lbs.) of methamphetamine concealed inside a hidden compartment located in the rear of the car. In addition to the illegal drugs, the vehicle was equipped with bulletproof windows and lined with Kevlar. Lara-Barajas was arrested and turned over to ICE special agents without incident.

“The Department of Homeland Security and its law enforcement partners will do everything possible to stop the flow of illegal drugs into the United States and the State of Texas,” said Alonzo Pena, special agent-in-charge of ICE investigations in San Antonio. “We will continue to partner with law enforcement agencies to detect this type of criminal activity and bring those individuals to justice.”

Juan Alaniz, Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Texas, prosecuted the case.

Sentencing for Lara-Barajas is scheduled for late October.

Is Iraq that safe for Al-Queda with more than 100,000 US soldiers? That is impression you get if media reports are correct.

Al-Qaida leader, Osama Bin Laden, is headed for Iraq to boost his network's standing as it embarks on an "offensive whose scale and importance rival September 9/11," a media report said.

Coded electronic signals intercepted in recent days among Al-Qaida's Middle Eastern elements across secret internet sites carry the message that the terror network's supreme leader has come out of his hiding in Afghanistan and has set out, or is about to set out, for Iraq, debkafile, a weekly, known for investigative journalism reported.

Sources say, Al-Quseda is sending false codes to confuse US authorities about Bin Laden’s where abouts. Some also say Bin Laden may join hands with Abu Musab Al Zarqawi and really be in Iraq!

Some of the signals schedule his date of arrival as the second half of September when Ramadan is estimated to begin, it said. The signals cap a secret exchange of messages in recent weeks in which the organization’s Iraq commander, Abu Musab Al Zarqawi, attempted to persuade Bin Laden to leave Afghanistan and take command of the Ramadan offensive in Iraq.

According to Debkafile's exclusive counter-terror sources, Zarqawi is said to have argued that Bin Laden's presence in Iraq would boost Al-Qaeda's standing before setting on an "offensive whose scale and importance rival the September 2001 operation" and goes well with his own safety.
