Hate to say this .. but perhaps, old Rumsfield finally needs to go. BS - First off don't believe the drivel that spills out of little Billy Kristol (the man is a fool with no heart) -
He is trying to mess the waters up here (that is all) - Rumsfeld is the best man in GWB circle - He is a sure fire as$-kicker that has done more to release the dogs of war (especially those within the SOF community) than has anyone else.
I'm not necessarily the sharpest tool in the shed so I don't think this qualifies as 'loose lips'. Certainly at times some 'muddy waters' or rather 'fog of war' can be beneficial. The last few weeks have included a 'liberal' dose of noise stating that Iraq was providing a source of trained jihadists to spread terrorism to Europe and the U.S.
Why not encourage some of them to stay in the target rich environment of Iraq by letting them think we are caving. I personally have the utmost confidence in Rumsfeld when it comes to running the 'political' arm of the military which resides at the Pentagon.
