Ynet reports that two of three Qassam rockets fired by Hamas in Beit Hannoun towards Sderot shortly before the start of the anti-disengagement rally held in the Israeli border town slammed into a Palestinian home in Beit Hannoun killing a 3 year old boy and wounding six other Palestinians. (08-02) 15:14 PDT SDEROT, Israel (AP) --
Palestinians fired rockets Tuesday at Israeli settlers gathered for a massive protest against the upcoming Gaza withdrawal, but missed, killing a 3-year-old Palestinian boy and wounding nine other Palestinians in Gaza.
Witnesses said militants fired three rockets at the Israeli town of Sderot, where thousands of Israelis had gathered for a peaceful demonstration. Two of the rockets fell in Palestinian areas and the third fell in an open field near Sderot.
Among the wounded were five children, aged 4 to 11, including four children of Hisham Abdel Razek, a senior official in the ruling Fatah party and a former Palestinian Cabinet minister. Abdel Razek's wife was also wounded.
The dead boy was identified as Yasser Adnan Ashkar, who was killed when one of the stray rockets hit his family's home in Beit Hanoun, northeast of Gaza City. His 11-year-old brother Ali, was in critical condition. Abdel Razek's family was visiting at the time, witnesses said. The house was severely damaged.
Minutes before the rockets were fired, Palestinian militants shot an anti-tank rocket at an Israeli convoy traveling to the isolated Israeli settlement of Netzarim, settlers and the army said. There were no reports of injuries.
The violent Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine claimed responsibility for the attack on the convoy.
Militant attacks against Israelis had dropped off after a February truce between Israel and the Palestinians. In recent weeks, however, as the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza approaches, militants have stepped up attacks to try to portray the Israeli pullout as a military victory for the Palestinians. . . .

Those darned evil Zionist telepathic rays!
If you ever get a chance to view some pictures of these rockets you'll see right away why they tend to be unreliable. They are literally made out of old plumbing materials.
Are these nudnikim eligible for a Darwin Award?
And a 3 year old child is dead. No matter what is said about the politcs of the place, the 3 year old had harmed no one.
God sending a message here?
Meantime, they've killed and injured a bunch of people with these verkakte rockets...the fact that they manage to blow each other up occassionaly, while poetic justice, doesn't make these rockets any less lethal, unfortunately.
Sorry, I'm just a bit jaded and cynical about this.
Yet. Now he won't ever.
It's all Karl Rove's fault!
Sooner or later this Palestinian punk would have grown up to be a suicide bomber. It's just as well he died now and saved the world the grief.
Ready, Fire, Aim!
