I think Kennedy is a despicable person simply because of his politics.
That is more than enough.
To repeatedly attack and accuse him years on end over a tragic accident is cheap and low IMHO.
Yeah but if he had really tried to save her, she might well have lived. His failure to do so compounds his crime and murder is not a crime with a statute of limitation. He's an immoral drunk and drug user to boot. Why not continue to hammer him? He hammers President Bush with gross personal attacks all the time.
Generally, I might agre with you except for the fact that Ted is the master of cheap polital tricks.
It is also cheap and low when he tried to get someone else to take the fall. It was also cheap and low when he appeared in a neck brace in court that was never seem prior to or after his court appearance. It was also cheap and low that he swam across back to his hotel and never contacted the police pretending that nothing happened to everyone that saw him. It is also cheap and low that he never showed any remorse or guilt? Should I continue? It may have been an accident but his actions after was the tragedy. In this, he can not be forgiven nor should be.
Who other than FreeRepublic will even mention this subject? Frankly, this is the first time I can ever recall this woman's murder being MENTIONED on T.V. I suppose a crime drama, a bio of Ted Kennedy or a show with the O.J. book writing detective on it probably has disccussed this. But this topic is essentially blacked-out by all MSM sources. Thus, the speculation that Ann will not be invited back on.
To repeatedly attack and accuse him years on end over a tragic accident is cheap and low IMHO.
Oh, puhleeeze! Ted Kennedy has skated and gotten by with negligent homicide because of his cover-up of facts and his NAME. He killed a girl, FCOL, and has the nerve to appear sacrosanct because he's a Kennedy and JFK's brother AND a so-called Catholic. He's never paid enough of a political price for his behavior, so get over yourself with your lame apologies for one of the most rutheless and disgusting politicians ever elected to Congress.
I can't believe you said that. Kennedy in a drunken haze killed a groupie and in a cowardly manner ran away to let her drown.
The fact he gets reelected is a telling clue about the character of those who vote for him.
If you barf when reading this you have bad problems with reality.
He's never really owned up to his culpability nor paid any real legal consequences. Is it too late to open a Federal Civil Rights investigation? Is a woman's access to oxygen a civil right?
Murder doesn't have any statute of limitations. I know he was drunk, blah,blah,blah...
Do you think it'd be old news if he was a republican? He can't say it was a youthful indiscretion. If he had any shame he would've at least went back home to Massachusetts & hope everyone would forget who he was.
I'm sure the poor girl's family don't view the matter as just a tragic accident. Just think how long they've had to live with it.
Your comment may have just been the most flippant, callous and ignorant statement I've ever read on FR.
Sufficient information has been proferred in the attempt to convince you of the merit present in the oral prosecution of the Chappaquiddick event.
I would suggest that you examine the difference between precept and principle, as that appears to be the area of reconciliation.
Socratic dialogue, if you are familiar with it, would afford you the opportunity to experience the difference. It does require an authentic intellectual integrity and familiarization with the concept of actuality (vis a vis reality).
Unfortunately, this - the forum - is not a particularly suitable venue for such a pursuit.
I wish you well, however.
Questioning the judgement of a man who escapes responsibility in such a manner is to be demanded, not just expected. Individuals with above-normal levels of marijuana cannot be employed as nurses or radiological techs, yet your sentiment keeps this man in office.
Sure. We get what we ask for. I for one am glad Ann Coulter is willing to say what the "conservative" voices will not. Get some stones, republicans.
