This is just more socialism. CPS is the strong arm of the government with respect to families. I had a judge threaten me once to remove all my kids because their stupid system didn't let me call in, unless I was hearing impared, a vaccination record for one of my kids. It's a long story, I pulled my youngest out of public school after that incident, and that stupid DA was out of control. He had spit coming out of his mouth trying to accuse me of child abuse. I was dressed professionally for the court appearance, because I had to take time off from my job. Boy, that was a long time ago. The judge threw it out.

We'll have to figure out something to do with them.

Back when I was married, the stepkids father brought them home from his weekend visitation and we found some unusual bruising on the oldest (she was 7 at the time). There was an adult sized handprint bruise on her upper right arm, and a flat bruise across her bottom. She told us that her stepmother (her dad's wife) had gotten mad, picked her up by the arm, and threw her into the wall.

We took her to the base hospital, where she repeated the story, and the MD determined that the bruising was at least 12 hours but no more than 24 hours old - all corresponding to when she was at their house.

I ended up under military arrest, until the SPs showed up, listened to the timeline, and pointed out, just like I had, that the child had not been at our house at the time.

Vegas Metro got involved, and then their highly efficient (/sarcasm) DHS came and investigated our household..not the abusive household.

Go figure.
