There are horror stories about PC at NASA. Stuff like not being allowed to have a simple Christmas (can I say that?) ornament on your desk.
My son applied for a NASA summer thing a few years ago. Their were about 6 interviewers since they had a lot of applicants. Interviewers were black, women, wheelchair-bound, etc. In total, one white male.
My blond son didn't stand a chance. Kid from his school with lower grades got the nod since his name sounded Hispanic. After all, we don't want the best. We want to give opportunities.
Yep. My brother in law is an electrical engineer who specialized in communications. He gave up on NASA in total disgust after twenty years to build up a successful business in custom cabinetry. NASA is driving away the best and brightest in it's PC quest to keep the mediocre from feeling left out.
