The author of this piece could probably go on forever and I'm sure we all have a few we could add to the list ourselves.
I'd like to nominate Steve Case of AOL\Time Warner. This 'merger' was one of the biggest corporate blunders in history. The AOL led Case single handidly destroyed Netscape and then poisoned publishing giant Time Warner.
The author indicates a part two is imminent so I'll be sure to check to see who else makes the list LOL
Welcome To FR! Let me summon the committee :)
Agreed, no amount of money will change the fact that his is the most boring national show since Larry King went off the radio waves. How many times can someone call someone else a jerk and have his minions laughing at it like it's the funniest thing anyone has ever said? Building an estate for himself with money donated to kids suffering from cancer (why does his ranch only handle so few at a time, while he lives there full time?) doesn't alter the fact that he would better serve us all by being on late at night, when we need the sleep aid.
Just playing newbie, Welcome to Free Republic. Interesting article.
I would add Boxer/Feinstein to the list. Are you listening, California? Get rid of the two wicked *insert word that rhymes with "witches"* of the west.
That's the truth. While you and the Smoking Gun use the term "bulletproof" regarding insinuations about impropriety (in TSG's case, by Howard Stern), what I said above stands. He does live there, in luxury--hey, whatever. But whatever the legalities, I find it pretty bizarre that someone is constantly fishing for praise for his charitable works while he benefits nicely from them. Nothing he's done is illegal, but it sure is strange that someone builds this huge ranch for a few kids to visit each year.
Welcome aboard.
Welcome. I would add Carly Fiorina.
As far as Kennedy and Durbin go..they remain where they are because of our system...one man one vote. They can, by their longevety in the Senate manage to rip the most libery and property from people who work and GIVE it to the welfare class who do not work.....and alas, their votes count as much as ours.
Besides this, the machines and media on both sides discourage people from entering a race against incumbents. The partys will not fund challengers....the result being that incumbents most offen as not are running unopposed...so we get the same old reprobates in office.
Dood, I don't want to start out on the wrong foot and I have no dog in the fight but where on God's green earth did you get that he lives there FT..? He was there a total of 16 weeks last year, according to Spitzer's investiation. Last time I counted there were 52 in a year.
Let's just agree to dissagree and move to someone we can equally despise ;P Like say Harry Reid ;)
LOL.. Hewlett Packard!
Hell, I would say [isert name here] CEO of AT&T over the last decade. As a former mgmt. employe off that company.. I still have a sore.. well never mind.. from trying to convince the blue-hairs that the internet wasn't a 'fad' 14 years ago. Darn ISP's had to use their phone lines exclusively in the beginning and they failed to capitalize on it. Yeah, the future was in Long Distance.. Fricking idiots.
Welcome to FR. Don't forget to ask around for your secret decoder ring. Lazamataz might have it.
"Welcome To FR! Let me summon the committee :)"
I thought the committee voted to disband. Can't ever keep up with things around here.
P4WN3D!
The secret decoder ring will help you figure out the above paragraph. ;o)
The sad thing is I understand what you wrote. I guess I spend way to much time on FR.
Oh you're right. The committee is now a membership board. Oops! ;)
Nothing more exciting than a newbie!
You forgot...
AYBABTU.
Good first article.
But I think you'l live to regret that moniker, LOL! :)
Welcome to FR, from one newbie to another.
