Dems definition of separation of church and state is all state and no church

Rev. Jim Wallis, editor of the left-wing magazine Sojourners, wants to help Democrats get their groove on with Christians. Michael Lerner, who edits the left-wing Jewish magazine Tikkun, hopes to do the same with Democrats and Jews. Both know their party has big problems with devoutly religious Americans, which is why they're hosting a "progressive interfaith conference" this weekend at the University of California-Berkeley.

What if I created a religion where it was a mortal sin to pay taxes to any government?

The interfaith confab begins not with a prayer, but an "opening visualization."

Dems want to use religion. How long until Jesus is a gay man who wants to enable the homeless? Dems are smart -- they'll twist the Bible to trick the gullible. It's shameful.

Well, Im sure you would have no problem getting the million converts needed to become an official religion. And then you would get one entry in the 24 page thing. Yay!
BTW, where do I sign up?

Some already think Jesus was gay, and others want us to think he was not compassionate to the homeless and the poor. I only agree partially with you. He wasn't a partisan republican or democrat! Alot of folks try to fit Jesus into their political platform.

If these folks tried to invent the airplane, it would be cruising underwater among the reefs. This has as much chance of flying as the lead balloon that it is.

What is really amazing and infuriating is ? the homosexuals think that ( WE .. us Christians ) were the ones who have high jacked the Bible away from them, and that the Bible and Christianity was theirs in the first place.
There are really warped and twisted.

There's NO passage in the bible that even remotely contradicts the view on homosexuality in the bible. It's not acceptable, period. No church that has as it's center a homosexual parish is blessed by God, because they stand together in defiance of God's word on this. Just imagine a congregation united on the rejection of biblical teachings on pride, and their PROUD of it. That would be an abomination as well.

Liberals think lots of things that aren't ture. And I'm ever so sure Jesus would help the homeless, but not "enable" them. There's a difference.

I agree with you....
Romans chapter 1 .
Genesis chapters 18 - 19.
Leviticus chapter 18 verse 22 - and chapter 20 verse 13
Deuteronomy chapter 23:17-18
The point I am trying to draw out is ?
The audacity, the gall, the nerve, the deception, the BIG LIE from the ( Homosexuals, Liberals, Democrats ) now since they saw that is was ( US - Christians )that is the backbone, the strength of the Republican party, and gave George Bush the victory last fall.
They are now saying, that we ( Us Christians ) who were the ones who high jacked the scripture ( the Bible ) and Christianity from the homosexuals, they are claiming now, that it was theirs in the first place, and that is the point that I am trying to make here.
I am trying to draw out, and make a point of their ( the homosexuals ) of their lies, and deception and the nerve of their bogus claims.

The interfaith movement is growing, I attended a candidate intimidation session for city council candidates put on by our local Interfaith group.

After they finished grilling the candidates, two Catholic priests, a Methodist preacher, and a presbyterian preacher spoke, and the closing was done by an Indian tribal council member, chanting, and burning incense.

It was all about diversity. It was painfully obvious that these facilitators were conditioning their flocks to embrace a "One World Earth Worship Church.

"What we need is a new liberal humanistic guilt spirituality...
We need to make it seem groovy to force conservatives to
feel guilty without any of our own people being held responsible
or accountable for their own actions or behavior...
a socially engineered hip religion without personal morality..."

. . .The organizers don't believe in a G-d who is greater than they are. They figure such faith is for suckers and hicks, whom they hope to woo from the pews by means of alluring promises of life without stress, woe or college-tuition payments. The Creator (or, as they call Him, the Left G-d) plays a pivotal role by serving as the frontman for everything from government-paid sabbaticals for everybody to a "new militancy" in the labor movement.

The Lerner-Wallis brigades, evidently believing the term "Red State" refers to Leninist strongholds, want Christians, Jews and Muslims to capitulate — ignore their holy books, surrender their devotion to an almighty G-d, dispense with charities and ministries of small deeds, and join "progressive" forces obsessed with military surrender and condom distribution.

Personal responsibility? Forget about it. Sin and Salvation? You must be kidding. This is a conference for a world devoid of conscience but drenched in condescension — the kind of thing doomed to failure because its votaries will never understand that apostasy is not "progressive" and that Uncle Sam and G-d are not one and the same.

'Jesus fares even worse, appearing but once in the literature — as "the ultimate Christian progressive." '

Jesus was not progressive if progressive means asking the STATE to feed, cloth, etc. the poor. How can they get this so wrong?

# Jesus taught that you should love God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind; and that you should love your neighbor as yourself.
# The Samaritan used his own bandages, wine, oil, donkey, and money to care for a hurt man he did not know. Luke 10:30-35.
# Jesus taught that every person was a neighbor who should be cared for. Luke 10:29-37.
# Jesus commanded the expert in the law to show love for his neighbors by meeting their needs. Luke 10:27, 29, 36-37
