(Such a dumb question, even for a reporter! You have to wonder, do TIME reporters not even consider the possibility that Plame's faction within the CIA wanted to do harm to the Bush Administration, that they knew Wilson would assist?)

(Guaranteed the CIA's anger at the Bush administration was greater than the other way around. Full of dead weight, useless bureaucrats and Clinton hold-overs, the CIA had to deeply resent their abilities being called into question by Bush.)

This is strange. What Rove said about Wilson was 100% accurate. Not even Wilson denies this now. His wife suggested he take the Niger assignment.
Let's change that sentence a little bit:

This statement about Rove's opponents is true. They falsely accused Rove of breaking the law. They suggested he be frog-marched out in handcuffs. In reality, serious observers of this matter all concede that Rove committed no crime.
