Bet Bloomberg's been waiting for an excuse to violate the Fourth Amendment, and they will find a lot more drugs or even :gasp: cigarettes than anything else. Watch any large amount of cash get "forfeitured" too.

With explosives detectors and bomb sniffing dogs available, this isn't even useful.

The MTA moves over 7 million passengers a day. A couple of hundred random searches is not going to scare the bad guys, particularly after CAIR complains about profiling, and as a result, LEO focuses the random searches upon blonde haired, blue-eyed secretaries, wearing short skirts and carrying fake Coach bags.
