"if Bernie wants to set out to piss off the liberals then he shouldn't be surprised if they set out to do the same to him."

This new book critiques both liberals and conservatives.
But what is confounding in your statement is that it is now acceptable that if you speak your mind regarding liberalism, it is fine for the media to set up the speaker to be attacked at 6:1 odds. In effect using the proud liberal technique of ignoring reason and shouting the mostest and loudest.

Yeah, right. Ninty seven liberals and three which could broadly considered conservatives - Jimmy Swaggart, Michal Savage, and the third one escapes me. Sorry but Savage is a lunatic and I would never have considered Swaggart a conservative.

I never said it was acceptable, I said it was to be expected. He set out to dis the liberal elite in order to write something for the conservative summer reading list. He didn't give any of the libs he trashed a chance to respond, why would he be surprised that they would set out to do a number on him in return? He shouldn't be, and shouldn't complain when he walks into their trap. It was MSNBC, for God's sake, not Fox.
