I believe that as deputy solicitor general in 1989 he argued that Roe is unconstitutional.

For myself, I don't give a whit for his "position" on abortion.

All I care about is where he stands on the Constitution of the United States of America and the sanctity of his Oath of Office.

As a government lawyer, he wrote briefs urging that Roe v. Wade be overruled. But the position he argued as a government lawyer is not necessarily his personal view.
