Howard Dean: 'Bible Says Nothing About Gay Marriage'
Juiceenewsdaily ^ | June 23, 2005 | Landon Howell

(JND) - As I sat down to read through some scripture Thursday night, I reached for the remote to turn off the already-turned-on TV.

It was then that a sit-down session between Jon Stewart and Howrad Dean on Comedy Central's The Daily Show caught my attention. Howard Dean speaking on national television...it's like watching a car crash in slow-motion.

I couldn't resist.

I set down my Bible, turned on the laptop, and prepared my fingers to record what sound bytes might spew from Dean's mouth. I didn't have to wait for long.

"I have yet to find a reference to gay marriage in the Bible." said Dean...

...I'm not the first, and I won't be the last to say this: "Howard Dean, you sir are a complete idiot."

...In a Q&A session by GotQuestions.org: "The Bible clearly and consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; I Cor. 6:9). God does not create a person with homosexual desires. A person becomes a homosexual because of sin( Rom 1:24-27), and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person choosing to sin by giving into their sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger/rage, does that make it right for them to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true for homosexuality."

The Q&A also goes on to say, "To give sanction to homosexual marriage would be to give approval to that lifestyle, which the Bible clearly and consistently condemns as sinful. I believe that Christians should stand firmly against the idea of gay marriage....

Before 20 years ago no one in the history of the world would ever have seriously considered gay marriage.

Exactly. The Bible says nothing abut marrying animals either, but I'm sure that will be next on the agenda (I predict within 10 years.)

The Bible is clear on the issues of homosexuality and other forms of sexual perversion. Howard needs to learn that if you play the game of semantics with The Word of God, you do so at your own Eternal risk.

The bible doesn't mention Howard Dean by name, therefore I conclude that he doesn't exist.

BTW, welcome to FR!

It's the same thing when people claim that the first ammendment does not apply to the internet and that the second ammendment doesn't cover newer higher fire power guns.

But maybe that is just for unmarried couples. Maybe that is what makes it a sin in the eyes of God < /sarcasm >

in the 'right old days' a gay marriage wasn't even thought of

the sexual act is all that gets much mention, and you don't need a Bible to tell you there is definately something wrong with it

my feelings about it is on my page

My Opinion of Homo's and Liberals is best said in the text below:

Romans 1:21-31 1:21 Because, though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, nor were they thankful; but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

1:23 And exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling corruptible man, and birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.

1:24 Therefore God gave them up, through the lusts of their own hearts, to sexual impurity, to dishonour their own bodies among themselves:

1:25 Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

1:26 For this cause God gave them up to vile affections: for even their women exchanged natural relations for that which is against nature:

1:27 And likewise the men, leaving their natural relations with woman, burned in their lust toward one another; men with men doing that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

1:28 And as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.

1:29 They were filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malevolence; whisperers,

1:30 Slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

1:31 Without understanding, untrustworthy, without natural affection, unmerciful:

How did Dean make it thru medical school?

***

Maybe he went to the school where you pay x amount of dollars and they send you a sheepskin. No classes, no tests, no residency required. :)

Then why the muslim saying, a women for children, a man for pleasure. There is plenty o male on male sex in that part of the world. Just ask any soldier back from Afganistan.

That is just more evidence that "Islam" is no religion, it is a cult of perversion.

Howard Dean: 'Bible Says Nothing About Gay Marriage'

Of course it doesn't, you doofus. The idea is ridiculous on the surface. "Gay marriage," by definition, is an Unding ("non-thing").

Now the Bible does talk about homosexuality, and condemns it, in both testaments. And the Bible does say a lot about marriage, but that is always between a man and a woman.

Howie, I can see that your doctorate is not in theology. Guess what? The one I'm closing in on, is. A Ph.D. in Biblical Studies. And it is obvious you don't know what you're talking about.

But then, you left a church over a bike path. Instead, you should be worried about which church teaches the one true path to God. Read John 14:6 for a clue.

Remember that during the campaign, Dr Dean told the world that his favorite gospel was the "Book of Job".

This man's Bible likely has some cob webs on it.

Dean's finest hour.

And further to paraphrase Churchill:

"Never before have so many owed so much to such a fool."

Howard Dean has a point - phaggot matrimony isn't mentioned. Queers were ousted and many executed so their perversion never "made it to the alter".
