There's a thread here
I still would like to know.
I'll never understand why it took so long to find Chandra.
Maybe she wasn't in the park that whole year.
I grew up in a heavily Dutch, Christian Reformed area. I have never gotten over the ease with which they determined who was a good Christian and who would be going to heaven. I just don't understand that to be my role and nothing about the Holloways or Twittys has even tempted me to go there.
Not necessarily. It can be a comfort thing--self-hugging--response to anxiety. Folded arms can also indicate restraint--i.e., keeping things 'close to the vest'.
Dominick Dunne has famously stated that Dr. Lee plays a "Charlie Chan routine" to juries. It certainly seems like an act.
Me either. I am astounded at the number of people who feel qualified to declare who is a good Christian and who is not. Hubris if you ask me.
I don't remember a report of finding Chandra. ??? I'm still holding on to the theory that the Hell's Angels took care of her for Gary.
Chandra's body was found in Rock Creek Park. She was identified through dental records.
Her skeletal remains were found on May 22, 2002 in Rock Creek Park.
That doesn't worry me.
I think they will pay and pay and pay their whole lives for this, and so will the Sloot family.....especially the Big Sloot.........
That's no substitute for justice.
I don't think any of them dare come to the USA, do you?
No. But, they probably had little interest in coming here to begin with.
Joran was planning on going to college in Florida. And the family was planning on taking him and visiting him.
I suspect those plans have changed however.
Someone on the tv who was talking about cadaver dogs said the problem with searching for Chandra was that the dogs were kept on tight leads. He said if they had been permitted to roam and she was there, she would have been found.
I remember reading it in one of the threads, that NH had her hair highlited before the trip and was not pleased with it. I think she thought it was too light...?
Maybe he is a Charlie Chan wanna be from the old movies. Google shows Charlie Chan as a detective in the Honolulu Police Department who always solved the crime.
I've been searching everywhere for info from FOX last night. Our dish went out due to the storm and the last I heard was that Deepak and Urine had been court-ordered to the hospital for DNA testing, and that samples were sent to Quantico.
Can anyone fill me in? And, Truthluva, like RS, I too would like to hear what you have to share...I feel like more of us are into the same thoughts about the scenario. Somewhere I read another poster talking about June 11 being a 'turning point' for Beth - and the talk about the significance of her holding herself very tightly.
LOL, yes I noticed that.

The Natalee Holloway story continues to baffle me. What's with everyone on the case taking vacations? Now the chief prosecutor is on a two-week vacation to the Netherlands! I don't know what you think... but it seems to me that if you are in charge of the only murder investigation in your country, and if the clock is winding down on holding your chief suspect, that you might want to delay that vacation a few weeks. Even some of us worked vacation days covering the story and we are not in charge of the investigation... we are simply covering it for a news organization.
I go back and forth sometimes I think (hope?) that maybe the Aruba authorities have significant evidence and are simply not revealing it and sometimes I think they have no evidence. Most often I think they have little or no evidence. Worse, I am not always confident they are trying hard to do what should be done in an investigation. The "slow start" may have created fatal errors to an effective investigation.
It remains possible that no crime has been committed, but at this point the case remains under or should active investigation and it is fair to be suspicious. I am very suspicious. It is hard for me to think that Natalee simply walked away.
You can not blame a prosecutor or a police chief if a crime is perfect and not provable but I do think it is fair to criticize them for taking a vacation mid-investigation when there is a clock running.
To change the topic:
Of course we have lots of stars and important political figures that are in our green room (waiting room) every day that is the TV cable news business. But no guests have generated as much excitement as our guests Wednesday night in New York City. Last night staff stayed late, and so did several interns to meet Jack Hanna and his "friends." I have never seen the greenroom so crowded, or the hall outside the greenroom with rubber neckers. If you saw the show, you know we had a giant rabbit, river otter, miniature horse, hedgehog, etc. If you were lucky enough to work in the New York bureau, you were able to go to the greenroom and touch and hold several of these animals. I am a huge animal lover so I love doing these segments plus I get to learn things from Jack.
Can anyone forgive the whore Dr. Lee for testifying for the defense in the OJ trial?
