I guess you forgot about all the casinos and the type of security they need for them on the island. The VBG shirt also is a button down shirt, not a T-shirt. The Black T-shirt security guards were at the concert or some beach party. This is a different security company than VBG - I don't know the name of it.
VBG is a security company used in Aruba (sorry the homebase is in NL) and the shirt came from one of their employees. Most likely he/she was a casino security guard hired to watch over the security cameras inside one of the casinos. (trained to watch for casino cheaters - card counters - etc... on the security monitors)

I did see something about George Smith last night. A very sad story. I think most of us know our passing or being murdered will not be a huge thing, no tv, no Greta, no international coverage, no group praying, etc. Most of us are small cogs and little noticed.
I accept that, actually kind of like it. But some I think feel envy at the very thought of beauty or youth or the notice that something like this happens. I think they know how small they are, how small we all are, and don't like it a bit.
I don't think the idea of bias is your problem here. I think it is the idea that if you were in this situation, Greta wouldn't be there. You are worried about you, not the starving black children of the world.
