He believes bombing of Muslim holy sites has been discussed
WASHINGTON - The remarks were hypothetical but the outrage was real.
Facing mounting criticism, Rep. Tom Tancredo on Monday refused to apologize for suggesting the United States could target Muslim holy sites if radical Islamic terrorists set off multiple nuclear attacks in American cities.

APOLOGY... sorry.
It was an incredibly stupid thing to say, but it serves his purpose - more headlines.
No apologies necessary until the imams and their cult start protesting their radical "brothers".
If anyone launches a nuclear attack against us, I hope we'll do a whole lot more than target a few holy sites.
Mounting? From what then to what now?
Criticism? From who?
It's so easy for the MSM to throw that statement out to justify their own position and set up a story to read the way they want it to.
Stupid in what way?
As a British source said, "The Arab understands power and vengence."
Arab terror bombers are hardly likely to respond to anything other than an assurance that Mecca, Medina, Aceh et al will be turned into Trinitite.
No it wasn't. It will put the fear of God (ours) in them.
In other news, China has refused to apologize for threatening the U.S. with a nuclear strike...
Good for him. I'm so sick of the everlasting apologizing. Would the Professionally Offended just go home and get drunk, or something?
Thank god we finally have a politician who has a set of tennis balls where it counts. He seems to have relized that Islam declared war on us, and we have to respond like a nation at war.
oh boy. nothing paints a bullseye on you quite like the term "no apology" being ascribed to you by the media. it's their equivalent of taping a "kick me" sign to your back.
"It was an incredibly stupid thing to say, but it serves his purpose - more headlines."
No it wasn't. It's what more people HAVE to say.
One Nuke goes off on American Soil and the middle east will burn and all of their Religious Sites will beat them to heaven.
More needs to be said. I.e. we'll take their mosques apart here brick by brick.
What he said was accurate..we are in a religious war...the only thing Arabs care about is power..we have it and need to use it... someone said there are 1 billion Arabs we are offending..but if we do it right..it might be down to 500,000 million...we can handle that..and it will take them a generation to recover...they understand power...if we fail to use it..they will kill us off little by little...and personally I don't want to change
Dang right no apology. Let's make it perfectly clear to the extremist lovingly Saudis, Iranians, Pakistanis, Egyptians, Syrians, etc. When your well funded and supported terrorists detonate a/some nuclear IED(s) in US cities and kill innocent non-muslims and Muslims alike there will be hell to pay. Targets established by the the U.S. government will be destroyed. We will let you guess where or when but rest assured those targets will be parking lots. Remember London and Pearl Harbor. We gave back Berlin, Dresden, Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Don't ever forget that we Anglos are survivors and will fight back with all our heart.
I like this guy and his style. I hope he does run for President.
But 'ya know... he's not the president... and SOMEONE in our ranks HAD to say it! We WANT them to think we're nuts... we WANT them to think that Bush is like Reagan.
For whatever it's worth... I approve.
Bob Schieffer, Matt Cooper, the DNC and all the RINOs on FR say Bush should fire Tancredo for leaking Valerie Plame's cover, and appoint a moderate Supreme Court justice, preferable a dark-skinned female lesbian left-handed pro-abort who won't bomb Mecca. Bush should apologize too and pay reparations, then resign.
He should apologize to the President for shooting off his mouth.
