Yep--grew up in Myers Park/Dilworth. All those wonderful oak trees planted by Mr. Myers. Several years later, Fran spent the night...had six trees on the roof for 105 days. After Fran, hurricane preparation was a normal part of life.
The storms that drive inland are the most fearsome.
